Plot twist: kalpas is a good man all along but he have his own way of relieve someone's pain. Sometimes,make someone angry is still better than let that that person break apart from a sense of guilty.
mobius' story and otto's story is almost the same otto: loses the real kallen and tries to make replicas of kallen but fails mobius: loses the real klein and makes a replica of klein with a different personality and etc.
We got to play KeBin so we can just hope to slap around a few dozen honkai beast if mihoyo ever decide to let us play a side story in PE using each of the flame chasers

I would bet that the reason Kalpas went there was because when she wanted him to help her "shed her old skin", by getting him angry and fighting her, He probably didnt want to fight initially and she ended up talking shit about Sakura and Rin, or the orphans from Sundown Alley in order to set him off.
