First time commenting...I live in southern Indiana...USA. I absolutely love your channel. I am much older than you...age 63, but I am learning so much from you. You are such an inspiration and so very talented. I love your personality, and your passion for sewing certainly shows. Keep up the good work, wonderful sewing tutorials, tips, and ideas. I also find your channel to be calming...pure enjoyment. Thank you!!
Omg- you blew my mind by sewing the ruffle short sides together first. No having to use a safety pin to flip it right side out. Oh my goodness... My ruffle sewing game is seriously stepped up.
Haha I think that’s pretty normal! But I just like to think how much I appreciate handmade gifts when I get given them (I think most people love handmade gifts tbh) 😊
Im doing Secret Santa, and I like to mix it up:make some things(some of them random, some of them specific to that person), some food(savory and sweet), and then something they specifically wanted. For this specific person, I bought a lavender candle, and made a themed candle. I also made themed among us stickers, as well as 2 key chains.i then bought them chocolate and ritz, and will make cookies. They wanted a guitar capo, so I got them that. I might sew them something too.
Don’t be afraid. This year I gave homemade masks with matching vinyl bags. I felt horrible because it’s all I could afford to do as I am currently unemployed. Every single person loved them. My teenaged nieces and nephews especially loved them as I made them!
Your videos have been making my life so much better! It has been really dark with everything going on! I really just wanted to say a huge thank you for being here! I am sure you brighten up other peoples days too!
I love the way you use up your spare fabric creatively Janelle, this year instead of buying and using Christmas wrapping paper I have sewed gift bags to put gifts in, they can then be used by my family and friends for other uses 🛍🎁 x
I am wanting to make hair clips with a cute bow that you made in day two. First time seeing hair clips with clay on top, they look cozy and impressive.
I have had a ruffling attachment for many years. These take all the work out of gathering and can be adjusted for the amount of ruffling you want. They are available on eBay fairly cheaply and fit any low shank machine. These are great for pillows and cushions as well as clothing. You can ruffle and attach the main fabric in one go or make it separately and attach as usual.
I love watching your videos because you explain everything so perfectly I love all your Clothes that you be wearing great job. You are a great teacher as well thank you for the videos you share
The little incense holder is... So simple. So genius. So cute. Oh my god. That isnt even what I was originally coming down here to say. I think an extra cute touch to the napkins would be to embroider a monogram or cute little decal in the corner to really bring the set together. Watching without sound, apologies if you already mentioned this in the video!
I just discovered your channel and I'm obsessed. I'm just learning how to sew and you have so many great beginner and quick ideas and you explain everything so clearly and beautifully!
Love these and this entire series! I learned to sew throughout the pandemic and am taking advantage and making friends and family gifts! Ty for sharing all of your ideas. 💕
To anyone who may try this project. Please use a Heavy Weight needle for this project due to the thickness that the needle must go through. Also. If you do zipper tabs, also a saver
BONUS GIFT: if your friend is a particularly big fan of bacon, you can paint two light pink lines on the wavy hair clip and make it into a BACON hair clip
I used your tutorial for a homeschool project with my 6yr old and 4yr old, we had a wonderful time making the tote bag and little pencil case! I have no idea how to share a picture of them on here?
What kind of paint did you use for your flower pots? I made painted flower pots with acrylic paint a few years ago and they were lovely--until I watered the plants and all my hard work bubbled up and off the surface of the pot.
Thank you for sharing this content. I’m inspired with your ideas! I craft/DIY most of my gifts and I know family would love this. I make diy videos too. I’d love to support and learn from each other. 👍🏻🤗❤️🧡❤️🧡
You're great!! Just to know... What kind of paint are you using for those pots? Is it non-toxic for plants? I'm looking for something chic & healthy for my green friends ✨
For the pencil case, what are your machine settings for the gathering stitch? Is it just a long stitch length without a back stitch? Thank you for this video, love it!
Please do a giveaway 🙏🙏 i am your biggest fan from Kerala India please do a giveaway please giveaway some fabric piece of cloth because that is really cool and beautiful and some hoop and all 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏

Adorable pencil case!
I'll do one now for my kid's new teacher and myself?🦄💐🌷🌺
Wow you are actually great at stitching
DIY gifts are great! I try and make something useful but I usually end up getting nervous before I give the gift because I made it haha

Hi ...I'm from India. I like your vedeo. Keep it up. Thanks
The little ruffled pouch would be so nice as a handbag 😍 with a sturdier fabric and a chain for the handle. Very cute gift ideas! 🥰
A set of ruffled pouches would make a sweet bridal gift. Love your tutorials. Makes me want to see again.

The ruffled case is my favorite! It would be great for travel as well.

I used some interior paint and acrylic for the contrast bits. I haven’t had any of mine bubble! Maybe some primer before you paint might help?
Thank you for sharing this content. I’m inspired with your ideas! I craft/DIY most of my gifts and I know family would love this. I make diy videos too. I’d love to support and learn from each other. 👍🏻🤗❤️🧡❤️🧡
At the moment iam gonna try the pencil case
That pencil case is *chefs kiss* did your machine have any difficulty with the thickness?
No it didn’t struggle! My fabric wasn’t too thick though 😊
tqq🙏
Thank you lovely..a quick question if you were making a table cloth would you make it the same as the napkins only of course bigger?
Yes that’s right! 😊
You would Marie 🙂 if you would like some weight to the edges, try a bigger hem. 🤍
Luckily I found your channel.
Great ideas...just found you!
You're great!! Just to know... What kind of paint are you using for those pots? Is it non-toxic for plants? I'm looking for something chic & healthy for my green friends ✨
Can you tell me which glue did you use to glue the clay to the clips ?
For the pencil case, what are your machine settings for the gathering stitch? Is it just a long stitch length without a back stitch? Thank you for this video, love it!
Yes, that’s right 😊
Wow😍
Did you use an air dry polymer clay for your hair clips or did you use a bake in the oven kind?
Bake in the oven kind 😊
Trying to get the patterns for the 10 minutes gifts, especially the free templates. Please help! Thank you so much.
I would love to make the ruffle zip pouch, but I feel like I would botch the entire thing 🤦🏽♀️😔
