Unbelievers can certainly come to Christ via a church that preaches perverted doctrine, however that believer won't stay there long once they begin reading His truth's for themselves.

I wish I could say based on his testimony which was really evasive that I would let my children listen to Hillsong however based on his dodging the bullet all the time and not really standing up for Jesus I will continue to say no to Hillsong music for my family and church. It’s very easy to judge this man, very easy. When a Christian falls, it might be best to help him up, and then look at our own transgressions. Mercy overrules judgment so show this man some mercy. I agree that he should be properly rebuked for his actions, but also forgiven and shown grace to rebuild his relationship with Christ.

If you listen to other Carl Lentz interviews when he asked real questions about his faith and how he represents God' Word to the people, (youth) you will see that he doesn't feel obligated to take any position on or against any of the commandments or moral issues.

God will judge those on the outside (sinners) but the Church, the Christians are too judge those that are in the inside or that are saved, when a brother or sister is in error.
