I love that when you’re describing the play sets, you sound like a wine connoisseur! “The teal overtones with the vertical play base tickle the pallet with modest yet robust features” 😂
My palette is highly sophisticated when it comes to Mighty Max😂 I forget to mention the aromas though, wonderfully playful scents, especially when you swirl them!🧐😂
Growing up my little brother was a big mighty max fan. I was a little too old for it. Now as an adult collector I’m appreciating them more. Watching your mighty max collection and pickups has me wanting some lol If I see a great deal I might have to give in. For now I’m enjoying them in your videos.
Thanks Socal! That's the cool thing about this ToyTube community... it's not possible to collect everything, but it's cool to share in the joy through other collectors on here. If you have the chance to find a good deal on a couple of complete sets I'd definitely grab them, and maybe once you have them in your hand that will convert you to a fully fledged MM collector!
It's weird mate, somehow I didn't know about these as a kid, but even still they feel like a perfect embodiment of 90s toys, so I can imagine the nostalgia would be off the chart if I had them back in the day! Thanks heaps dude👊
@Seraphim-re7ht For sure! I wasn't lucky to have a large Toys 'r' Us sized store in my area, so maybe I didn't see it, but I could have been blinded by my love of wrestling and Nintendo! It's definitely interesting though...
I recently picked up 2 mighty max sets this year, I never purchased them in the 90's but after watching friends like you showing your collection I needed to add a few sets to my collection. 💪😉 I definitely want a few more.
Dude! I actually spotted those Mighty Max sets in one of your recent videos. Are they complete? Definitely fun additions to the collection, they certainly pop on the shelf👌
I had that yeti toy as a kid. Looking at it now, it doesn't look like much, but I remember having a blast with it back in the day. I think that's the main draw of MM: it has enough features to facilitate play and still leave enough room for the child to work in imagination and creativity. Thanks for sharing.
I believe it! It was that same childhood imagination that let me have a ball using a crumpled up blanket as a playset for my action figures back in the day. Mighty Max was definitely an incredible platform to act out all those play scenarios and let the imagination and creativity go wild. Thanks for watching mate :)
@@ScottCrusher ahaha yeah I can relate to that. Even the sculpted details were enough to get the imagination rolling. You could easily pretend the characters make use of these even when they're really not. You're welcome bro. Again, thanks for sharing :)
@DarkROSkull013 For sure! That's why articulation never bothered me as a kid, you imagine the characters fighting and doing crazy stuff even if the figure's movement was limited!
Mighty max sets are so cool and now I’m dangerously close to start collecting them!😂 I always wanted one when I was a kid, I never got myself a brand name one but I did manage to save my allowance and get myself a cheap knockoff from the local general store. I’m pretty sure it was some kind of skull shaped pirate island. Thanks for sharing Scott!
Cheers Nate! Oh man, I highly recommend you pick up a couple of these sets (at least). They're fun to play around with and display great on the shelf. That actually sounds really cool, now I must track down this knock-off skull island pirate set!🔍
Another great episode mate on the mighty max sets and also cool to see some more body wars and mighty max knocks offs in there aswell mate great job 😎👌🏻
Can we please get a short with you hanging Sammy Steel on you belt walkin around the neighborhood? GOLD! Brainface's name made me audibly giggle 😂 Im thinking i might get a MM book from Leigh. Im loving your love for these sets and i love watching this collection expand ❤ so Im feeling the love too 👍😍
Hahaha I might have to "wear" Sammy Steel and the Dome of Doom to the next Collector Con😂 I'm glad to hear you enjoyed Matt, and I definitely think The Toys of Mighty Max would make an awesome addition to the KOC Library😁
The blast magus was one of my favorite toys growing up. ❤ This is nostalgic to me. Hits me right in the feels. Got that thing for Christmas 96 or 97. I miss it.
@@ScottCrusher iv still been thinking about this and i have thought long and hard and i nearly sure i had the stings scorpion and ice alien and my little brother had the fly and Arachnoid. Cheers for asking😎👍
Once again Scott you are taking me to school as I’ve never seen any of these mini playsets, and the knock of one was cool as hell too! Always enjoy Crusher Collects because I always learn something 😃👍 Great episode as always Scotty, flawless presentation once again 👍
Thanks heaps Luke, I always appreciate your support and kind feedback mate! I'm more than happy to shine a light on these awesome 90s toys that don't quite get the shine that Star Wars, MOTU, TMNT, etc enjoy! Cheers buddy🍻
Great video. These are a lot of fun to look at. My son and I were playing with the four i had growing up the other day. Too bad most of the mini figs are broken. Still fun tho.
I appreciate that! Oh that's awesome, broken mini-figures isn't ideal, but it's great you still have them, I'm sure many fell victim to the vacuum cleaner in the 90s😂
Good job finding those new additions to MM. The search and money for complete sets you're missing is going to be harder! I know that feeling! Especially the rare ones. For so far i got: Doom zones series 1 til 3 complete Dreadheads complete Horrorheads: only missing Freako! Monster Heads: need them all Shrunken heads: only need the 6 rare ones. Battle Masters: only needs 4 of them Magus, Dragon Island, Skull Master/mountain
Dude! You're killing it with the MM collecting! Yes indeed, no cheap Doom Zones from here on out, but fingers crossed. Why is it that the scarcer ones are some of the coolest, like Nautilus and Freako... Thanks for watching and supporting, and good luck on the hunt to complete your collection!
Yea I had the brain aliens set with the set was a space ship with foldout wings and a rattlesnake where the main villains were a mummy inside and the rattle was a giant scorpion tail
Thanks man, I appreciate it! I'm actually picking up a new Mighty Max set for the collection today, so a couple more after that and I can do another one of these Mighty Max vids!
Lol, I remembered 'the hand', my classmate uses it to tap on some girls' shoulders causes them to scream like mad... Lol that was fun.... Radical 'vacuum cleaner' s best friend sets ya got 😁👍🔥🔥🔥
If I had that zombie hand as a kid, I'd be wearing long sleeves so I could pretend it was my hand and freak people out!😆 Haha keep the vacuum cleaners away😂😂
Mighty Max Squishes Fly is my fav. I use Velcro to stick my sets to the wall so the fly works great for that. Not sure how underrated the sets are tho the prices are going up by the day it seems!
Yeah you raise a good point there, I remember picking up the Maneater complete for like $18 Aussie dollars a few years ago, now I'm generally having to pay double that or more for these doom zones, so the line seems to be getting more love nowadays. Squishes the Fly is a wicked set, definitely one of my favourites!👌
I would shoot a message to Leigh (@fomotoys) on Instagram and he'll be able to advise if they're still available and if so, how to get your hands on one. If you're having any trouble getting in touch with him, let me know!👌
Yeah, unless you've had the series 1 Doom Zone Max figures, they will be the older looking Max, which, personally I think looks better anyway! I like how the more teenage looking Max always had the red cap. I'm not a huge fan of the blue and green caps that you see on the older generation figures.
Hell yeah we do, I would love to track down one of the designers and have a chat with them, learn about the process and the inspiration, or at least give them a standing ovation for being legends at what they do🙌
