We have a 60 unit parlour, we milk around 1100 cows in 5 hours twice per day. :)

That’s quite slow actually, you could easily be achieving 400 cows an hour with a 60 point rotary.
The trick is to not stop the parlour between groups of cows.

@@tom4412 Might be, but the parlour stops if there is still milk left in the cow....so stopping for 5 minutes in every 3-4 minutes, can make it time consuming

I even had a cow that needed 3 rotations before she was milked out.

@@tom4412 in our parlour you cant, because the way was blocket to force them to back out, so the parlor stopped if the milking process wasn't finished

we are milking in a 40unit parlour 450 cows 3 times a day take us about 3.5 hours to milk

May j ask why 3 times a day and also why does it take you 3.5 half hours

Is that 450cow X 3.5hours (per milking?) X 3 a day = 10.5hrs per day milking
Or
Is it 1hr17mins per milking? 3.5hours total. Which is good going. We're milking 80cows (6x6 it's a 30yr old parlour) in 2hours per milking.
