With all taxes and profit (20%) added it shouldn't had cost more than 30lakh for its top varient. When the government has restricted individuals or other companies to import cars (which is against the doctrine of free competition), markup should not be allowed above 10% not 20%like in other general competitive products

Honestly it does not stand a chance with Chinese EVs. Indian technology is 20 years behind. As far as battery tech is concerned, it is 100 years (a hundred years) behind. There is no comparision whatsoever.
