  • Kenwood Dishwasher E4 Error Code (Meaning, Causes, And How To Fix). In this video tutorial I will show how to fix Kenwood Dishwasher E4 error code.
The E4 error code indicates that the anti-flood device has been activated. It occurs when there is a water leak somewhere in the dishwasher. Water from these leaks finds its way, down under the wash zone and into the mechanical workings. The sensor under the wash zone detects the water and prompts the dishwasher to display the E4 error code.
The following are some of the common causes of the E4 error code:
    Damaged seals
When the seals are damaged or worn out, they will allow some water to leak into the other parts of the dishwasher. Once the leaks are detected by the sensor, the machine displays the E4 error code.
    Clogged drain pipe
If the drain pipe is clogged, it cannot drain water from the dishwasher properly, causing an overflow. When the overflow water leaks to the base, the floating sensor under the wash zone detects this, and the dishwasher displays the E4 error code.
    A faulty drain pump
When the drain pump is faulty, it cannot drain the water in the dishwasher properly, leading to an overflow. This triggers the dishwasher to display the E4 error code.
    A faulty water level control
If the water level control has issues, it can cause overfilling of the dishwasher. Leakages due to the overfill trigger the E4 error code.
Now, let's look at the best solutions you can apply to fix the E4 error code.
    Replace the seals
If you find the cause of the error is worn-out seals, buy new ones and replace them. Ensure you check the seals of the main tub, float, heating element, and blower diffuser.
    Unclog the drain hose
If your dishwasher's drain hose is clogged, remove it and unclog it. If it is blocked, due to kinking, you will need to buy a new drain hose to replace it.
    Replace the drain pump.
If the cause of the error code is a faulty drain pump, you will need to get a new one to replace the old one. Call a technician to help you out with the replacement of the pump.
Reset the float switch or sensor.
If none of the mentioned resolutions clear the error code, reset the float switch. To do this
⦁ Unplug your dishwasher from power or switch off your circuit breaker
⦁ Pull out the dishwasher underneath the counter
⦁ Use a towel or an absorbent cloth to soak up the water at the base
⦁ Tilt the dishwasher back at an angle of forty-five degrees to drain the water
⦁ Leave the dishwasher idle for a few days to allow it to dry.
⦁ After a few days, power the dishwasher and check if the error code still comes up.
