    Hemp material for building is also fireproof and mold resistant, regulates the temperature and cleans up the air, but is forbidden to grow in America. The only variety left, not thrown out by politicians in the 50'ies, in Sweden, is also forbidden in Sweden but I did manage to buy some hemp material there for insulation so something they do have now.

    We don't know but suspect that the higher the THC content equals better flowers, equal more seeds. So higher THC makes better hemp, and hemp seed.

      +Dennis Gaffney Industrial research program in Hawaii many years ago showed greater fibre production and higher seed production from high THC strains (the original "hemp" genetics).... til the DEA shut it down.

    Hemp is psychoactive and make you high, you just need several dozen times more. Of course it's hard or rather impossible to smoke that amount at one time, but you can eat that or make an extract.

    legalization of this plant does something much worse than its prohibition, it gives the governments the right to decide for us what we can/cannot use.
    what needs to happen is decriminalization.
    i would also like to add as he only touched on it for a moment and did not fully explain it, hemp can produce 4 times the amount of paper pulp when compared to trees, also it takes 4 months from seed to harvest compared to 20+ years for most trees.

    Umm. Calling hemp a different plant from marijuana is incorrect. The plant is called cannabis. There are different strains and by growing it differently it can produce what we know as marijuana and hemp. But it's the same plant.

      DIFFERENT plant....same FAMILY....FIELD CORN...SWEET CORN...CHERRY OR BEEFSTEAK...you say to-may-to... I say to-mahhh-to....can we all get along?

      Hemp is the Sativa strain, and there are Sativa strains that can get you high. There's sativa, indica, and ruderalis.

  • @chadharris5333
    @chadharris5333 9 лет назад +1

    Cannabis and Hemp are the SAME PLANT. Same Species Cannabis Sativa l, There is no difference from the fibers of one VS the other. some of what he's saying is obviously slanted towards, the drug war :(. But the rest of the info is decently accurate.

    • @Sigridovskij
      @Sigridovskij 9 лет назад +4

      Chad Harris No, it is absolutely true what he says, there are thousands of different species of hemp in the marijuana family, just as lemons and oranges are of the same family but different fruits. And industrial hemp is not a drug at all and even looks very different from the harmful drug variety. You cannot make tissue from the drug variety and you can not smoke or get high from the industrial variety. But some politicians want people to think like you, so they can forbid the healthy hemp.

    Does the hemp have any CBD in it?

    • @highspacefox
      @highspacefox 9 лет назад +1

      +Julia Lerner it does! but there are still on going legal battles as to importing CBD to states that have no medical marijuana laws. www.leafly.com/news/health/industrial-hemp-derived-cbd-whats-there-to-know

    • @BruceRyanCannaCorp
      @BruceRyanCannaCorp 8 лет назад +2

      +Julia Lerner Yes, as the breeding reduced the THC levels, the plant responded with higher CBD levels. Charlottes Web is cross between "recreational" and "industrial".
