It’s the exact kind of conversation that you’ll love! He’d come to the same conclusions as I have and even had a paperback of Bostrom’s Superintelligence book! I haven’t read his work, but his concepts and the thinking behind them are dead on, so he may just be another writer for you to explore! (But, then again…know you, you’ve probably read his work already! 😂 I’m only like, 10% joking…I’m so curious to find out, actually!)

Thank you, Ryan! 🙏 I’m so glad you enjoyed it! It’s so funny, I didn’t aim at my film audience specifically, but ended up using so many film examples to help the explanations with visuals that, if the sound was turned off, you’d think this video was about film 🎥! A Beautiful Mind was excellent (at least that was my impression way back when) and I’m so glad Hollywood gave Nash his due! What a remarkable brain 🧠! The same for Alan Turing, whose papers I was fortunate enough to read in university…he was the first one to put the logic of why a computer could theoretically “think” so clearly and precisely into words (for me, but also the world!) and reading that made me realize how profound the implications of that truly were. It was a life-changing moment for sure! I love that film has brought these two titans forward into popular consciousness…they certainly deserve it! ☺️☺️👍

Thank you! ☺️🙏 I appreciate that so much…I’ve been working on upping my game with my videos so that everyone knows that, if they take the time to watch it, they’ll know I at least tried hard, haha 😂, even if it doesn’t turn out that well in the end. I’ve challenged myself a bit, not quite at the level I would if it was a documentary I was making (I’d have to make all my own footage for that, haha) but hard enough that it’s (hopefully) enjoyable to watch :) Meanwhile, I am feeling much better! Pushing myself to get better turned out to be the right thing, even though I did make a mistake or two that had me right back in bed with ice packed all around me a couple of times, 😂 🤦♂️ But I tried to be careful and I’m still being careful, actually…definitely not just throwing the weights around again…I did that way too fast. I needed to do a lot of stretching work (and I’m still doing it) and other exercises to get my shoulders and neck to the point where I could pick up weights again…just recently, literally within the last few days, I’ve had days where I mostly don’t get neck pain, as opposed to the last 7 months, when the neck pain was ever-present! So, as you can imagine…I am in a GREAT MOOD! 😂☺️🙏👍

Haha, aww…yep…I’m always busy…Jenny is a saint for putting up with me! Truly! 🥰 I was working on the video last night, and I’d worked on it for, I guess, 16 hours straight, and I was still fine-tuning it, and she looked at me and said, “You know this is not okay, right?” 😂 Aww… seriously, I sleep 2 or 3 hours a night (not sure why I sleep so little) and work the rest of the time (because it’s not really work for me…I love it so much!) so for her, it’s a bit much. Don’t worry though, I literally thank her every day for still being married to me! 💕😂☺️🙏 True story!
Me too! I loved Star Wars when I was a kid, and those movies were so far ahead of their time! It’s so amazing though, isn’t it, that our real future is way more remarkable than what our wildest imaginations have been able to conjure? 😲💕 I love that! I just finished an interview that might be up in a couple of hours and the host is also a sci-fi writer, and we talked a lot about how lucky we are to be able to do this for a career! Most don’t get to spend this much time in their imaginations…I feel like I’m the luckiest person in the world!

No word of a lie, I learned about terraforming by reading your novel, Posthuman. Do you think it'll be a dome surrounding Mars like "Total Recall" or everyone just staying on a giant space station and wearing space suits?
