Likewise Mace had three other Jedi Masters when he fought Sidious he did not come alone plus because of the other three Jedi Masters there he had time to go into Vaapad And Shatterpoint without them the fight would be far different he was not Sidious Nor Yoda in terms of skills and powers for one on one fighting plus one on one Dooku has the slight advantage with the force while both are equals with a blade with Mace with the superior physical abilities slightly and better unarmed combat moderately but Dooku has the better hilt better for gripping and doing more tricks that Dooku is good at taking advantage on plus Dooku is better with force dueling opposing force wielders he was already above easily doing it as a Jedi Initiate at nine years old against younger, same age, and older opponents in force battle tournements, competitions, challenges, or contests based on telekenesis, force barriers, force shields, force pressure points, force senses, and force reflexes he was the only student Yoda did not go easy on that is how powerful, gifted, and dangerous Dooku was as a force wielder warrior just as a initiate so imagine how much more effective, powerful, and dangerous he became as he got older especially as a Jedi Master and even more so as a sith to sith lord yeah.

TOTJ Dooku beats TOTJ Mace, it states that Mace never beat him in the temple. Also Vaapad doesn't matter for this fight, since Dooku doesn't directly draw on his aggression.
