Hey guys. Long time no see ;). I bring you one of the best stories in this fandom: Murmuration by the wonderful author Dee (fringecity/indiachick).

If you're a fan of proper mystery, investigation and mind fuck, absolutely outstanding plot, and world-building, superpowers, a little bit of scares, brilliant characters and a very thrilling ride exploring past, present and future... go no further. This is what you've been looking for ;). Honestly, I have nothing but praise for this story. I couldn't put it down and couldn't wait for the next chapter. It's all so intricately woven, which is especially impressive with all the flashbacks and the details the author had to keep track of and then deliver the grand finale :d. Just trust me. You won't regret checking this one out ;).
Btw. Pls don't be discouraged by the fact that Tae is dead in the story. It's a part of the mystery that you will learn following Jimin and Yoongi's POVs. All I'm gonna say is that nothing in this story is simple, let alone 'death' :d.
Also PLEASE don't forget to write the author a nice, long comment once you've finished the story. They've worked incredibly hard on it and it'll absolutely make their day. Thank you ^^!
About the video/editing process: Well well well. Unsurprisingly, a lot of things about this video were a struggle - from structure to finding good footage. But really, the more complicated the story, the more I love coming up with a video portrayal of its essence, which was def the case here ;).
As usual, I used Sony Vegas for the main editing part, but this time spent a significant amount of time in After Effects to create those 'supernatural' compositions, which was so much fun :p. I learned quite a few new tricks in terms of general special effects in post prod, so yay for me :))! Also added about 15 layers of sound fx like I usually do, including police sirens (because as someone in the comments pointed out - I cannot release an edit unless it contains those sirens :p).
The very tricky part about this video was avoiding obvious spoilers. I found Jimin and Yoongi's dialog (they are partners solving a cold case in the story) to be quite effective in introducing this world and what happened in it, so that Tae's part still remained riddled with mystery. I'm kinda hoping that whatever you see in this trailer, the reality will still be surprising :).
And with that - I hope you enjoy this video. It took a damn long time and effort, but here we are at last ;).

I read this book (thanks to Sapphiamur for creating such an awesome trailer which made me interested in checking it out in the first place) and holy shit, this really is one of the best books in the fandom. Like literally in the top 2. I can say that for sure because it's that good. Just read the first chapter, or even the first two pages, and you're hooked for life.

That part gave me the most goosebumps. I like the tension of it and the mysteriousnes.

May be because Taehyung tends to give a mysterious vibe... Taehyung's s sweetheart when he smiles but when he doesn't, he looks really cold and gives a dark vibe...just a speculation...
@@sarinak343 i agree with you. With his acting as a pyscho in hyyh n his facal expressions there, he made himself a good candidate for crazy characters. Taehyung has a RBF so he often looks cold or half the time look lost....
Oh yeah. Its bc he's quite mysterious. N his acting in hyyh just solidified it.
If you read the fanfiction this is based off it actually makes a lot of sense he is not actually crazy at all he's just a victim of a mistake he made. But to answer your question I think hyyh era Taehyung kind of just unlocked the idea in our heads that he's a good candidate for psychological horror type plots. And he really is tbh.

Ok for anyone who haven't read the fic yet, IT IS AN AMAZING FIC, I mean this was by far one of the best works i read in a fandom,not only the story itself is amazing but also the writing style is fantastic and basically you are hooked from the very beginning or at least I was.
Definitely recommended, and if you know any story like this please give me the links.

OKAY HI it's Dee! I had to come flail here publicly, obviously, because I simply can’t get over this. AT ALL. Everything about it is seriously so perfect - from the narrative framework of using Yoonmin’s dialogue from the first few chapters, to the birds, to the killer and the mystery around Tae - I don’t know how you framed this without spoilers, but you did, and it’s incredible. I love that you have Jungkook appear just as he is in the story.- a major catalyst. I love that you’ve gotten all of the characters’ traits the way I intended them to be read: Yoongi as the primary POV and voice of reason, Jimin as the curious explorer, Taehyung as the central mystery and the axis around which this giant complex plot revolves. I love that we have Jin in this, describing the killer, and I’ve already told you how much I adore the scene with Yoongi in Fake Love and what it means SPECIFICALLY in the context of this story!! Oh my god, also the special effects: several people told me that so much of Murmuration takes place in a dreamscape, which makes it challenging to visualize, but you did it SO INCREDIBLY WELL like omg you deserve an award for that scene with Taehyung and the electricity, or Yoongi and the wall full of text. It looks so incredibly professional, I’m just completely blown away. The bit with the monster at the end? The splicing of Jimin in the bathtub vs Jimin on the bed? The time-reversed sequence of people dying and coming back? I’ve watched all that 500 times. The way everything fits with the music! The way you’ve gotten every single character in there, too. And the mood of the piece in general, from start to finish, I had my heart in my mouth and I WROTE this frigging thing. I told you this on twitter already, but even outside of the fic, even completely separate from it, this is such a work of art. And it really inspires me, and motivates me to create-thank you most of all for that. I am so, so glad that art begets art, and that we can inspire each other to make more stories, more narratives, for ourselves and for others. This is such a joy!

@@vlxtkx there are some good ones that are not popular and it makes me scream! Like, did you read An artist in the storm by LittleFear or If you go to Heaven (You Should Fuck Me Tonight) by TrappingLightingBugs? These two fics are VERY DIFFERENT but both have Angst, Mysteries and supernatural :D
Try To Erase Myself and House of Cards by SugaMins (there's also trailer for that one) are amazing if you haven't already heard of them. Both are not for the faint of heart but istg those are THRILLERS.

@@inssafaitalla19 its mystery at the start but then there's a huge plot twist and in the end there's some romance. I don't want to give too much away, but believe me, it's a good read and i would recommend it.
