Yes i explain that at the end of the video. Another section of pipe, the storm collar, and brace will all be added this week. I just got it to that point to be done with the part going through the roof. The finish will be 33" above the peak.
The number of times I have to edit out me yelling at myself is crazy! Hahahhaha great job guys! I am doing this same thing today!!! Woohoo! Wood heat this winter!
Sean see if he will come help you finish you wood stove before winter lol all you really have left is the pipe isn't it last you worked on it you was adding the bricks
The first stove you were going to use looks like the one we had at the cabin I was at. It put out a TON of heat but it was the opposite of efficient. And yeah it would have boiled you out of that small space pretty quick, when we had the old stove going full blast it heated up the big cabin pretty well.
Looks like you will now be able to heat the house, great news ....... On a side note, with how low the chimney in on the roof, you mite want to look into a snow splitter to keep it from getting damaged in a heavy snow fall.
@@michaelcravens3767 Yes good advice. I. did inquire about one. But there is only about 3 feet from peak to chimney so i was advised by the company here that sells them i wouldn't need it. Their advice was less than 6 feet with a metal roof at my pitch was ok. And I'm using 2 different types of bracing hardware when 1 would also probably be enough. Thank you for the comment
Your build is coming along nicely 😊, That a pretty awesome little laser awesome review 👍, perfect for that job & many others :) I did a review just a while back but had no chimney to put in had that done already :) Great job take care up there"
See if i can text this, English is not my first language. What i understand you shall have some panels on the outside of the walls. You install the door frame level as the plywood. Normal is to install wood panels on the walls and make a frame around the door. The frame is normal nailed on the panels so they frame the door so it looks nice and you do not see the gap. If you install the door frame at the level as the wood panels that be installed, you can just install the frame around the door without using a trim around the door frame to get it level. So measure how how much extra your wall gone be outside the plywood and move the door frame to that level.
Yes i understand what you're saying. Ideally I'd like it to stick out on both sides to be able to butt the siding and drywall up to it. But it's a used door so i was stuck with the thickness it is. We are trimming it in a way that this will look very nice. Thank you for the advice
@@AlaskanFreedom my last Sauna i have a more modern design. I let the window trim out 1 inch from the inside and outside wall and this was so nice also on the inside.
@@AlaskanFreedom you can usually get away with it if you keep it very short, just a couple seconds. And if you make it 1/4 screen it helps more. Then just allow youtube to do the checks before you make it public and re-edit if it flags you.
Why didn't you take the door section out to make it easier to install by yourself. then reinstall it after putting your shims in and at least putting a couple of screws in.. Just a thought.
@@mauricebrown9094 i like to install it with the door still hanging so i can use it as a guide for squaring up the door by opening and closing it to check the reveal.
Home sweet home soon. 👏🙌🙏

The cabin is coming along so wonderfully! So excited for you to be able to move in and enjoy a cozy winter!

Same as you I have been a toolmaker for 48 years and yes the only stupid question
Is the one you don't ask.
Will be nice having your wood stove in. Soon the cold and snow will come! Now you will have a warm and dry place to work! Great progress!!!
Free is always do. Yes, you do have a very pretty model.
Those Las Goo laser levels are great! I wish we’d gotten ours before we installed our stove pipe. That worked slick for you.
Thanks for sharing
Good job!
Great job 😊
Looks like you'll be ready for winter 😊
We usually have snow by Halloween. I’ve seen 11” the first week of October in Meadow Lakes, Alaska.
Great video! Missing you already
@@shyco321utube thank you son. We miss you too and were so happy to have you visit.
I am so excited for your move in. You made great strides today. It is really looking good. Thank you for letting us come along. See you next week!
So excited for you to. Moving in you said…..woohoo… proud of you guys, hard work pays off. 😊
It looks great.
I couldn't tell if there was a wire mesh/greeting around the chimney top. That stops birds from making nests.
There is not but that's a great suggestion. I'll add that
Making good progress... you guys will be nice and warm in that house... be safe and happy..
Getting close! Love the doors
Yeah we do also.
It's looking great!!
You need to add 1 more section of pipe --the rule is 2 foot over -10 foot out !!
