I play it around them and a few days later I get a low key text saying....hey, who was that guy who played those megaman song covers....the best part is they don't even play megaman haha. It felt bland in comparison to X1 which was awesome and X3 which was great. X6 is also one of my least favorites, but I rarely acknowledge that game. Especially seeing as how I played the hell out of the SNES editions more than their PS1 counterparts.
What makes X2 pale in comparison to X1? X2 improved on many things X1 did (I consider X1 to be one of the weaker games of the series, but it's excusable as it was the very first and Capcom was just testing the waters with it), such as improve on the armors, add optional bosses, add the bikes, buffed the armor, and gave the dash from the very start because of how vital it was to keeping the game's pace. There isn't anything in the game that I'd call bad. Now, with X6, there's plenty in that game that I'd call bad. The Nightmare System is stupid and cumbersome, the Maverick names are just plain weird, you need the entire armor in order to use a single part, Gate Stage 2 is basically shouting for you to use the Shadow Armor and the player later gets punished for using it, most of the stages are just plain annoying, High Max takes forever to kill, you have to equip Zero's techniques, the final boss is pitifully easy compared against the Gate battle, the translations are all messed up, Capcom was too lazy to change the voice actors so they just used the Japanese translations, very few weapons in X's arsenal are very useful with the exception of Commander Yammark's weapon and charged Metal Anchor, etc. But when it comes to music, X6 has X2 beat.
