EV will tank the petrol-dollar.......get it.

I am sure you already heard the news but ill just add it here so the new viewers will understand right away. China did place 25% Tariffs on american goods and ev's which will make it hard for other car companies to make money from Chinese. I heard sooner most of Asean countries will do the same but a lot higher until US economy shuts down.

When the US buyer imports goods subject to tariffs from China, they pay the tariff to the US government. This cost and any markup are typically passed on to the end consumer, meaning consumers ultimately bear the burden of tariffs through higher prices. The Chinese seller, however, does not directly pay the tariff; the importer in the US bears that responsibility.
China does not suffer the consequences of tariffs. The US consumers are being punished by having to pay higher prices.
In 2012, President Obama, as part of his plan to double the U.S. share of the world's solar panels from 5% to 10%, imposed tariffs of up to 249% on solar imports from China. In response, China retaliated by imposing import restrictions on polysilicon from the U.S. At the time, the U.S. held a 50% share of the global polysilicon market, but this has since dropped to under 4%. The U.S. share of the world's solar panels has dropped to under 2%. China has promised to retaliate just as strongly in response to any new tariffs.

It’s ok! Just site tight n see how the US destroy themselves. Maybe you should raise export tax on all goods heading for the US. This will hurt the Chinese but w send their inflation Sky high!

A conflict of interest and a moral hazard should be gleaned from the 48 club commentator Jack Perry or ignorance by the journalist on tariffs.

What about free trade?? Liberal economic order?? When a country can't innovate anymore they shouldn't resort to tariffs on foreign products right away, that's suicide.

US and Western countries preached about free market for decades, especially when they had the technological advantage. Now you see China ahead in some sectors and the west cant really compete so they go full protectionism mode 😃
