- PXG create some of the best golf clubs known to man. When I tested the Gen1 irons I was very impressed. Have PXG ruined a good thing? If it’s not broken to fix it?
The Gen 2 irons claim to have more forgiving larger sweet spots for off centre hits, thinner faces for more ball speed across the club face.
Aesthetic wise they look very similar to the Gen1 models... so are these claims true? And are the clubs worth the hefty price tag???

Just received my 311XF irons a few weeks ago MAGNIFICENT. SOFT feel. SO FORGIVING. much stronger. WELL worth the money in my opinion.

Its the same old story again, if you can afford them your'e going to buy them. We are talking thousands of pounds for a set of pxg golf clubs. I have to say they look good, but a bit out of my price range. another good review

With any set of custom irons and hybrids made for your swing you can improve your game. The cost of PXG clubs is “out of bounds” for most golfers and having hit them at a demo, they are not as good as my own set. Perhaps it is because I am a senior with a slower swing speed that makes the PXG clubs feel unwieldy. At 71, I have been playing golf for sixty (60) year and still carry a single digit index, cost is not an issue as golf is my only vice, so I would tell you to hit PXGs several times before you spend enough money to buy a decent used golf cart!

I got the Gen 2 PXG SGI irons, and I'm hitting bombs right down the middle with them. I have never hit a 4 and 5 iron so good as I am with the SGI irons. I was looking for a good 4 hybrid before I got the SGI's, but I no longer need the hybrid now!!!!
Just ordered these SGI irons for 129 per club. Who would of thought I would get to own these.
I just switched to Gen 2 0311P very happy, I have played forged several brands, PXG is better, since the price drop, 100% worth the cost.

Fairly new to golf figured I needed sgi or xf was fitted to their tour model. Even on sale get fitted def worth it.

Gen 2 are on sale for $159 a club right now. Gen the Gen 2 or the P790
Noticed any consistency issue with those the same way you mentioned them with P790?
there is no way any iron is worth double the price. Will it give me double the performance? Of course not. If you answer they fit you then add $150-$300 to any other set for fitting and save a lot of $$$.
They didn't hit their stride in looks, performance, and feel until Gen 3

Always every manufacturer offers you a wide range of shafts so that's unnecessary marketing guff from the fitter. Not saying PXG don't offer the most but that came across more or an advert than a review.
That sgi iron is by far the ugliest thing that has ever been made. Titleist blades for life!!!!!

Back when all my friends were buying all the super expensive stuff every year and never getting better and I was with a used bag of clubs and learning how to hit the ball instead... buy what you want, you like em buy em... Every year someone comes out with the end all be all club... these just aren't it at least for me...

Love your content I’m a beginner well Ben playing for three years people make fun of my swing but I’m getting semi pro too pro distance with my elbow bend lol and a excellent ball striker... what I’m saying is that disabled soine would beat the hole and the human opponent such as a zulfadi I’m sure of it! And I love my swing and yours james and the vids
