How not to make ice cream in your Ankarsrum ice cream maker

This video details the hilarity that ensued with our first attempt at using the Ankarsrum ice cream maker. Thanks to becs-table.com.au/ we had a great base recipe to start with, but inattention when assembling the machine led to all kinds of mess. The final product was delicious and we learned a lot about the ice cream making process. We used my Thermomix TM6 to make the base and the Ankarsrum to churn the ice cream. After setting a few hours in the freezer, it went from soft serve to perfect ice cream.
I hope this video inspires you to go out of your comfort zone and try new things in the kitchen. Mistakes happen and that's ok. The journey is worth it.
