I am loving this series, and I want to point out one thing…. Yes. The Hilt is A LOT of money. But if you look at pre built vans, you can easily spend 200K. And I really think you are getting more than double the “adventure-ability” of even a 4wd van. Not to mention overall space.
I met the guys from storytellers at the hershey show , really cool guys...they invited me for a factory tour when i head south in the spring cant wait to seee that ill be like a kid in a candy store
I just took delivery of a new 2024 renegade Veracruz 30. It's on the Ford F550 four-wheel-drive chassis. It's diesel powered. It has great livability by utilizing a queen size Murphy bed. It comes with 600 W of solar via three 200 W lithium batteries. It drives like a pick up truck. It holds the road with almost no crosswind movement. I'm getting about 11 1/2 MPG. The Veracruz also comes in two larger models, you can buy them for slightly more than half the price of your current rig. renegade makes a top of the line product I strongly Recommend you check it out.
I did check it out already. I don't like their rig. It's not a price matter, it's value. Even half price sul not cutting it for me against my power wagon or getting a new Hilt.
Interesting comparison. Huge fan of the truck camping and tailgating. You can still cook amazing food with minimal cooking ware. I do. Maybe it doesn't reflect most people just preping a quick meal on the go. Good food and relaxing cooking time to fuel ⛽️ 😎 the souls is great. The Hilt is my dream Loft on World Expedition 🌎 🎉❤
Very informative video, pros & cons to both. Unfortunately, I think it's individualized for ur family & how u plan on using it. Me personally, I would Love the BEAST! 😂
I understand trying to conserve water but….letting the dog lick the plate instead of washing it no way. That’s gross. I love the hilt everything looks like it’s so well built and high quality
Would one need purchase both auto and homeowners insurance to cover any liability? 🤔 Would it survive a trek along the beach and cliff side roads along the east cape of Baja? 🤔 My gut reaction is that this vehicle appears to be more like a "lumbering giant"... Buena Suerte...
The Hilt wins! I forgot about MPG. You can can use your truck and Taylor’s car for daily runs. I can imagine seeing the Hilt pulling into the grocery store parking lot 🤣🤣🤣. Does it fit in your driveway?
you didn't cover ease of maintenance and repairs. good luck changing those Storyteller wheels...matter of fact, it'd make an interesting video to demo the entire process.

Thanks Brett! I agree 100% new vans with all the bells and whistles are insanely expensive too!
The money Americans will spend on campers is absolutely mind blowing to me haha Very impressive none the less

both options are good, but you have to live within your means.

The best video to date! I think it shows both ends of the spectrum when it comes to truck living.
So fun to make with you guys I was cracking up at the toilet scene!
Great contrast
Love it watching from another country thanks for sharing it
Checkout the Rossmonster Ultra, Adrenaline Industries, 27 North Trekker. Also there are some very large truck campers out there.
Yes, really cool 😎 though the Hilt is 💯 absolute. Love the Ross too though for me, my power wagon is enough. The Hilt is a worth fleet addition.
Good contrast
How long are you testing out the hilt? Can’t wait to see if you decide to keep it or not 🤔
This was the last video of the series!
Do you use the PortaWell or similar? you can pump water to your water tank when running out of water

haha everyone's got their methods!
very gross.
hahahaha you still gonna wash them but less waste

haha I think it would fit in the driveway, but it would max out haha

Half a million dollars and no lockers? Wow
I’d just like to say that there are plenty of people out there in rigs that cost WAY less than $50,000. Don’t be discouraged.
We hope this doesn’t discourage anyone! We just thought it would be fun to compare the two rigs.
So neither of them cost $50,000...
But man at $15,000, they got ripped off for that glorified tent. It's nice. But $15k is crazy.
The other one fits yall better!!! And can’t wait till wifey stop hiding the baby bump… hopefully it’s a girl 👀👀👀
Toooo expensive 😮
Both extremely overpriced
Love your show, but I am sorry that ridiculous the cost of that is not worth it at all
thanks Sandra!
