A good thought, but . . . Hamas is not a physical entity, it is a concept. For every Palestinian civilian Israel kills, how many new people join Hamas?
How about this: Maybe Putin contacted Iran and requested that they begin a situation with Israel which would distract the USA from Ukraine? Then, Iran used Hamas to create that situation? If that is true, Israel and a few in the USA fell for it hook, line, and sinker.
Regardless, once Russia is defeated, Iran will soon follow.

Every analyst worth their salt knows there were many "reasons". Kissinger, who met, or kept in close touch, with, Putin, for over 20 years, warned what would happen should NATO continue its strategy of eastwards expansion. Kissinger gave the "reason" 15 years ago. Russia has the equivalent of a 'Monroe Doctrine' (1823f), and Kissinger warned NATO to take that reality into account. NATO's leaders dismissed his warnings, with the result there is now a major war in Europe for the first time since WWII
