I think the wing he had is like he’s the beast.. the beast here i think represents how ppl only see him as what they want to see on him. Misunderstood. He’s chained to that perception. in underwater there’s a whirlpool like he’s struggling and in pain, and he’s climbing up to go for the light = unconditional love that will set him free, being able to be loved and accepted and just free to be himself.. And like u said, u can say he’s like reborn the moment he was set free from the beast/angel

First things first this MV made me cry as it was so beautiful and I love the story thru out it also it reminds me of my fav Disney princess movie beauty and the beast especially with those references also I love the emotion he put behind his acting in the MV and the meaning behind the lyrics. On a side note the beat in the song reminds me of change by RM ft wale (no hate I actually like it if he did sample the beat from that song)
