Thanks for another good idea, Frank! You're inspiring me/ feeding my addiction here because I'm closing in on buying my first jet ski (although I've ridden them my whole life) and here in western NC north of Atlanta the lakes bore me. I want to ride in the Atlantic or Gulf and maybe one day cross to Freeport or Bimini. I'm looking at getting a Yamaha VX since it has the larger fuel tank. Without going further south than I have to, where have you found the largest waves? I can always go down to Haulover, but figured I'd work my way up to that. Also would like to find a group to go with. I know the jet ski community is quite large and I'm hoping to meet lots of great people. Enjoy your videos, keep up the good work.
Congrats on the upcoming purchase. I do enjoy riding on my local lake but you gotta get out somewhere else sometimes and ride too. The Tennessee River is also a good ride. If you want some bigger waves without going all the way down to Haulover, you can try the inlet in Destin. Of course the size of the waves is weather dependent. Good luck with the new ski.
@@TheShipsLogg I’m looking for a ride-along buddy in late July or August if you want to come up. I rode it last year and it definitely the best full-day adventure on the water I’ve had. I have his and hers skis but no her at the moment so you’re welcome to ride my other rxt-x
That water is beautiful, I'm heading down to Panama City Beach in May. its beautiful there too. They also have crab island in destin which is not far from PCB and I use to ride my Yamaha VXR from Shell island in PCB to Destin and crab island. The gulf is beautiful. :) When I get my new 2024/2025 Yamaha FX HO cruiser I'll connect with you and meet up for some rides. 🤙
No, we're in May ... LOL. I'm going to make the drive from CT to Dunedin on May 11th. That's the plan. Love your videos and hope to ride with you and the crew this year. OG in CT!
Out of curiosity how many hours did the other ski have on it? I have a 2021 that only has 52 hours. I was told to wait till I get to 60 for the next oil change which I'm waiting for. Your video on that makes a lot of sense, I'm going to buy what's needed to do the oil change. I did the 10-hour but didn't have the right equipment so it wasn't as smooth. Love your videos glad you're back to doing them
The other ski currently has 184 hours on it. I was going to keep it but it makes sense to sell it. It really does make sense to change your own oil. It's not that hard to do and it saves you so much money. Good luck!
Whisky joes 5313 19th st e ellenton 34222 its about a 18 mile ride from where you put in at. maybee an extra gas can could be shareed w the group. but 45 mph 1 tank will do on a yamaha
I would really like to join you guys next year, im a boater and sailor, have a 2022 fxho. Always enjoy your videos , im from Pennsylvania, but boat and ride on the northern Chesapeake bay.
I use a GoPrp Max. I got the Yamaha cup mount and put a 1 inch RAM mount ball and then added a 10 inch extension rod. I was able to find everything bit the Yamaha cupholder mount on Amazon
Im local here in Tampa. Ok so here are some local places that are boat and jetski friendly. These are north of the Ft Desoto boat ramp that you use. I'll put the name and address, but once you map them you'll see how to get there by water. The Island Grille & Raw Bar 210 Madonna Blvd, Tierra Verde, FL 33715 The Wharf Restaurant 2001 Pass a Grille Way, St Pete Beach, FL 33706 O'Neill's Marina. - this place has just some small pre-made stuff. But has fuel and bait. 6701 34th St S, St. Petersburg, FL 33711 Now if you want to go to St. Johns Pass / Madeira Beach there are a lot of restaurants and stores Contact the follow marina and you can reserve a slip. Not sure on the cost for jetskis we usually go on our cruiser. Madeira Beach Moorings 13205 Gulf Blvd Madeira Beach, FL 33708 17274409108 Hopes this help for your next trip there are more places, but these will get you started. In the mean time keep making those great videos! Robert
Congrats on the new jetski! Seems like you very much enjoyed the ride.
