Only because you believe "what he thinks". Count how many times he says "I think" then ask yourself if it's a fact or what he thinks.

"Discrimination does not account for the disparity in mental health between LGBT and Heterosexual people. Journal of LGBT Health Research 2008"
This study is now a broken link. I believe this is a crucial piece of evidence in the sermon, since without it there's no way to know whether simply belonging to a sexual/gender minority group is the *direct cause* of the problems mentioned by the other studies. I argue that discrimination of some sort is the cause of undue stress in these groups, and until I see evidence to the contrary, I will continue to argue this.

@@johnhill4481 Thanks for providing the article link. It would have been easy to ignore my comment, but you didn’t and I appreciate that. Sorry about the delayed response, but it took me a while to purchase the study and review it to the extent that it warranted. There are a few points I wanted to mention.
This meta-study, conducted in 2008, is based on data collected in 2002 by the SHAPE survey in Hennepin County, Minnesota. The Results section of the article supports the claim you mentioned: that adding perceived discrimination as a variable does not significantly change the relationship between mental health and sexual orientation for this data. However, in the analysis it is noted, “Although the measure of discrimination used in our analyses, having experienced discrimination over the past year, was associated with almost all of the indexes of poor mental health that we examined, this measure may not have fully captured the range of stressors experienced, or stress responses exhibited by LGBT Individuals” (Burgess et al., 2008). The discussion then goes on to suggest that changing the timeframe of discrimination from specific occurrences within the past year to broader, more everyday stressors (such as a disapproving family or a deleterious work environment) could potentially affect how the variables interact. Other measurements, such as substance abuse and LGBT status are limited by their definitions for the purposes of the survey. For example, participants could say that they belonged to the LGBT community, though they were not asked how they identified within this group, which may have been a significant detail. Several other studies, with different methodologies and variable definitions are then listed, many of which arrived at conclusions different from this study. In the final paragraph, the report concludes that the summary of all the aforementioned studies actually suggests that discrimination *is* a significant risk factor in determining mental health status in the LGBT community. All of these arguments serve to perfectly illustrate that survey data in general is limited by language and subjective interpretation by the test subjects. Specific conclusions can rarely be derived from a data set this small.
To summarize, I don’t think it’s responsible to make claims that are beyond the scope of scientific research (or in this case, are directly contradictory to what the researchers conclude). In this case though, I think it’s fair to give you the benefit of the doubt since the odd language in the abstract seems to parallel your words. It’s an honest mistake, and I’d be happy to send the full research paper to you or anyone else. I don’t think you have ill will toward the LGBTQ+ community, and I believe your desire to bring grace to all of God’s children is genuine. I also believe that the available scientific evidence does not disprove the notion that discrimination faced by people who identify as LGBTQ+ is a significant contributor of mental illness, and I think my skepticism is justified by the points I’ve made.

The truth has been told, its been written in the bible many times in every testament that god sees it as an abomination. Quite literally.
But people who say yeah it says no homosexuaos but thats not what god means, is deceiving themselves and they shall have a part

And agian, speaking against "pride movement" shows outstanding levels of entitlement and privileged. Framing it as a con organisation and questionkng the significant of its purpose is typical for someone in a first world country where lgbt isnt a civil crime. For people like me in countries where I could be murdered if someone even suspects i was into men, that "movement " means alot to me. Yes, vomparable to the civil rights movement.

When you support denying the body the Lord knitted together in your mother’s womb you are no longer loving God, but denying him. Homosexuality and pedophilia was a common practice in Greece and Rome, but ended when Christianity prevailed. The early church said that it is wrong, and it is CLEARLY OBSERVABLE. Don’t pretend that a Christian principle has been somehow misinterpreted for 2000 years of its existence, including the people who walked with Christ.

I'm 9 mims into the video, so maybe my opinion will change as i watch. But i can help but share disappointment. Its the same message of hate disguised as concern that we hear everyday.
The rates are goimg up because more and more people are living openly and free.
This disparity in states/regions is due to the fact that people who live in accepting reguons will be open and loud eith their sexuality while others in less accepting regions will be hiding.
No, humans will not face a populatin decline die to lgbt, they will fue to increasing costs to raise a family, and with more automy granted to women, they become less of baby making machine (which is a good thing)
Ill keep listening but damn this is hard when the facts are seeming just twisted so much and its like you dont eveb care

Example of interpreting the Bible as pleasing to men or women, not GOD.

    • @vshah1010

The passages cited in Corithians are not straightforward sentences. It's more in poetic style. So, it is open to interpretation.
I don't believe you can take this as a definition of love. At most it's some of the desired attributes, desired according to who wrote it.
Even if you take it as literal as possible, it says nothing about LGBT, either good or bad. "Truth" and "injustice" would be open to interpretation.

    • @vshah1010
      @vshah1010 Год назад

4:16 Corinthians 13:6 This is saying that love does not rejoice in injustice, but rejoices whenever the truth wins out.
Then he says love speaks the truth, which is a weird thing to say. Then, he calls this the definition of love. At most, it would be attributes of love.
There is alot of mixing of ideas that are not necessarily related. Also, the cause and effect is jumbled up.

The conversation can be quite short and forget the word "love". It is impossible to be homosexual and believe in a Creator God as your actions will make His creation become extinct, ( homosexuals don't reproduce - deliberately). My children are not excuse or hiding place. Their contract with God is personal.

Eve was made from Adam's rib. So, Eve was a transgender woman. God thought this was best for Adam, saying this would produce desirable characteristics.

Wise men of old taught that the soul is female. And that we are the bridegroom. When a soul preaches to others, it is taking the role of a man and preaching to other females. That is why the church is "SHE" .. Anything on this earth is a "SHE" .. Matthew 23:37 says under "HER" wings.
When the dead rise, they will neither marry nor be given in marriage; they will be like the angels in heaven (Mark 12:25)
As for fringe groups, they are neither on the left or right .. They are Eunuchs and who is talking about is? Jesus said
"For there are eunuchs who were born that way, and there are eunuchs who have been made eunuchs by others-and there are those who choose to live like eunuchs for the sake of the kingdom of heaven. The one who can accept this should accept it.”

You can’t be lgbtq and be Christian, You come into Christ unclean (yes it’s true) but while in him, you experience changes, God is love that’s why he is patience with you to change. If u stay in Christ and you don’t experience changes from those past sins overtime you haven’t accepted the life of Christ

We are all sinners. That's why God sent Jesus, to save ourselves from ourselves. But to be Christian, we must first acknowledge our sins, to include following the LGBT religion. Then we must, in the name of Jesus, turn away from our sins and ask forgiveness. And this too includes the LGBT lifestyle.
