The AIM 9x Sidewinder is a $262,000 missile, and the Russian pilot fucked up his jet by colliding with the propeller of the MQ-9. You can see the propeller is messed up at the end of the video if you don't believe it.

Now that's some amazing flying skill by the Russian pilot, to those who don't know, this specific move is basically the equivalent of parallel parking blind folded except doing (and what I suspect based on the afterburner plume) Mach speeds! Wonderful fantastic absolutely stunned by this
Hey, so... this is pretty low speeds, the plume you're seeing is really just condensing water. Every airplane does this if the conditions are right. Most notably: airliners that you see criss-crossing in the sky. And what he's doing is really a rather simple procedure. The amazing part is that we have a video of it and Russia can't deny this shit.
Actually not! Speed of drone about 200-230 kts at loiter -- altitude - probably somewhere between 25-30 k and at this altitude handling a SU-27 in the 200 kts regime would be unusual and would require a little more skill. Su27 approach was poor in both cases - alpha high even for low airspeed - missed the first fuel dump - second pass (probably second a/c) alpha again too high - poor approach coupled with high alpha resulted in a collision due to the fact that the Su-27 energy state is low and its nose shaded the drone - and partial miss with fuel dump - this collision could also have taken out the fighter - su-27 hit most likely on right horizonal stab - note that SU-27s were reported not to have landed at their home base so there was likely some damage. For the drone one blade bent and one blade jammed into feathering position so insufficient thrust and A/C went down. No jet/afterburner plume is seen - the plume seen is actually the fuel dump - interesting to see where this is located -

@@andreykolkov2724 @andreykolkov2724 why do you keep repeating this afterburner comment in every thread, you clearly have no idea what you're talking about, even going so far as to say these jets have no ability to jettison fuel... The SU-27 can in fact dump fuel through the afterburners without igniting it, there are electric ignition points inside the afterburners which can be deactivated by the pilot, with no ignition the afterburners do not function and the fuel just flys out the back.
It is strange that the view on the video with the damaged propeller is not at all the same as the view from the SU-27 before that, and the damaged propeller without yellow stripes.

Also, the reason Russia doesn't use any missiles is because, like the media says, they ran out of ammunition weeks ago, so now they just spray jet fuse on the enemy drone and then the pilot opens the cockpit and ponks it with a shovel, lol
The yellow stripes present on the blade tips of the drone in the first video section are all missing in the second video section. Moreover, a video feed such as this one would not show a test screen. The video would simply freeze. This video has been altered. The drone was not brought down by an impact with an SU- 27- which has a mass of six time the mass of the MQ- 9. Far more damage would have been done to the drone than minor damage to two diametrically opposed propellor blade tips. The drone was brought down by the impact of aviation fuel- the mass of which either flooded the engine of the MQ-9 or damaged it so that it failed. In any case, the impact of a ~30~ ton aircraft at a closure rate of 150- 200 mph on a ~5~ ton drone would not have left the drone still flying straight and level.
Russia didn't clip the drone, nor dump fuel on it. They went full throttle and melted the drone prop. Fuel doesn't come out of the engines when under throttle... It is most certainly burned. The tail is too high for anything to hit the prop.
It’s significant, on the order of seconds. That’s why there’s a separate crew with a low latency link that pilots the aircraft during takeoff and then hands control over to the main crew, which controls the drone via satellite.

US shot down a Chinese weather balloon that was worth less than a hundred US dollars with a $430,000 US dollars missile. Russia downed a $28 million MQ-9 with jet fuel worth less than a hundred dollars.
The AIM 9x Sidewinder is a $262,000 missile, and the Russian pilot fucked up his jet by colliding with the propeller of the MQ-9. You can see the propeller is messed up at the end of the video if you don't believe it.
@@Unknowndragon17 "...fucked up his jet"? Where can i see it?
@Oleg Kalsin no footage of it unfortunately, but the Air Force reported it and the propeller supports that theory. Right as the drone is passed, he is really damn close, and then afterwards the propeller is bent. Something had to hit it.

WOW! Highly profession fighter pilot. This is how to stall the engine of a drone. What a great idea and maneuver.
There is a reason why they brought it down like this. Reaper fell to the sea almost intact and Russians are now in process of recovering it. Imagine if missile hit it, it would desintegrate and it would be far harder to see what's inside.

The drone can only go 300 mph, and that "maneuver" was a botched low pass it shows how poorly skilled Russian pilots are.
Hey, so... this is pretty low speeds, the plume you're seeing is really just condensing water. Every airplane does this if the conditions are right. Most notably: airliners that you see criss-crossing in the sky. And what he's doing is really a rather simple procedure. The amazing part is that we have a video of it and Russia can't deny this shit.
Lol the only thing cool about that video is how lucky the pilot got. None of that was skill, that was pure luck.
@@LaggerYT1337 А мы ещё что-то отрицать должны? Вы кем себя возомнили вообще?
No jet/afterburner plume is seen - the plume seen is actually the fuel dump - interesting to see where this is located -
Russian Su-27s are in their spring rutting season and probably thought the MQ-9 was cute.

Well it's better than mine. My jet is always "skipping" over the battlefield and then I get shot down by a rocket that appears after I'm dead. Sigh...
It’s significant, on the order of seconds. That’s why there’s a separate crew with a low latency link that pilots the aircraft during takeoff and then hands control over to the main crew, which controls the drone via satellite.
Good question, even half a second makes life difficult.
