Love that Ten logo here (guess the "X" wasn't to bad either..) but it say alot when I find watching 80's ads much more enthralling and interesting than today's coma inducing shows of 2020.
I think it was shot in 1982/83 (when Val Lehman/Bea Smith had the short haircut), but the logo is the 1984-1987 logo (which would’ve been after Val left Prisoner)
My god, how long does this go for? A whole bunch of people milling about pretending to partake in a conversation that we the viewers are not privy to anyway. Television was certainly a lot more leisurely paced back then...
Every year, the TV stations would make new promos featuring on-air talent. They would play the long and shorter versions of these promos in-between programs- usually immediately before the next program began. The longer or shorter version appeared depending on time constraints. Often shorter versions would incorporate a promotion for a show on the station at the time.
A golden era for the network. Neighbours, The Olympic Games, Young Talent Time, Melbourne Cup Carnival and Prisoner were on during that era

@@Brucetiki1 yes that probably adds up but yeah in today,s society some random people just don,t know the answers but yeah no one,s alone etc.
0:53 How come they had Michael Parkinson fly up from the UK to appear in this promo?
He was was probably here for summer cricket!
@@chester30457 Film stock looks different. I reckon the tight shot filmed in the UK and flown across.
He was doing some shows in Australia at one point so that might explain it
