I do follow y'all on the scoreboard app because, as Dita would say, I am just that sort. But totally agree with you on this song. It's just kind of there, and unless a revamp does something massive for it, it's gonna be forgotten the second she finishes singing it at ESC.
I find it kinda unfair that Eurovision blocked some videos of being watched in my country (I live in Russia. And yes, I understand that awful shit is happening, and I am gay myself and they just add laws against LGBT people saying that if you belong to LGBT - you are an extremist. I totally do not agree and if I could leave, i would, but half of Europe doesn't accept Russians and the others make it hard. Yes, I'm scared that one day they can send me to war without me agreeing, but I'm trying to manage and find any solution there is. I still go to gay clubs and I support local drag queens, I'm not a bad person if currently I don't know how to leave safely(I wish)) and the one thing i love a lot is watching Eurovision, but I have to struggle through VPN to get to any video on their channel, cuz suddenly ALL Russians support whatever the fuck is happening. Shouldn't they be reaching out to sane Russians and not isolate them? correct me if i'm wrong, but living in a country doesn't mean I support it's latest politics + ppl are brainwashed a lot here, i wish it all didn't happen or would've finished soon apart from that, love your channel, you guys give me hope in such tough times always!

Please don't think that people won't accept you just because you're from Russia - any reasonable person wouldn't judge you for that. If you are considering leaving, Cyprus and Turkey both have a large community of Russians living there (Cyprus would be the better choice if you are gay I think). Good luck!
To me, this was just the safest choice they could’ve made, and while this national selection was tricky, hardly any good songs in my opinion, I wish Albania would’ve taken a risk and sent something more alternative like Luan Durmishi. Im always rooting for Albania, because I ALWAYS want countries that haven’t had a victory yet to do well in the contest, but I hardly ever enjoy the songs they send, unfortunately. Maybe it’s a fan thing, I want Eurovision to be upping the ante every year after year, but countries constantly sending samey, safe songs like this just make the contest so frustrating to follow sometimes

Nice.. reminds me of "Love the way you Lie" Eminem feat. Rihanna, specially the entrance part of Eminem to the beginning of the song .the piano/guitar sound seems similar and the tone of lyrics although the rhythm is faster on Eminem's part. Luan Durmishi - Përsëritja was the right choice to represent Albania at Eurovision 2024 and he was the real televoting winner, but because of corruption, Besa was selected.
Albanian is such a beautiful language, the nicest sounding one in ESC imo. Keen to see her revamp. She won't win though, obviously. FiK is just too weak. Albania should opt for a new contest. As for the staging, remember FiK is an ancient festival, they don't opt for polished staging, they strictly opt to focus on singing. Everything you saw at FiK won't be there at ESC, other than the singer.
I think when reviewing the Albanian entrant coming out of Festivali i Këngës you really have to look at the base song itself and vocal ability. Both here are very decent and the hook is very catchy. Hope she changes that outfit and revamps it to give it more oomph but not so much that it loses all of its charm a la Ronela Hajati. Love you guys ❤
didnt really understand the hype behind Luan, id didnt do anything for me, this is nice, a bit dated and "awkward" but i can see it doing well IF they nail the staging and do a SLIGHT revamp to make the different levels not as disjointed, Elsa's felt like it would have faired AMAZINGLY afew years ago, but whos to say, the innovation is needed but fans have proven again and again that not re inventing the wheel works

@doomydoes Yes, our last year of the current contract was this year. It has been announced almost 3 weeks ago that Australia is back for 2024, it's just not known how long SBS extended the contract until.
Not breaking with tradition is a quite a problem imo, especially in the last 3 years in EV. They could have easily sent something unique like Luan or Mal who won the jury's vote. This year had more unique songs than any other year. Also considering that there is the potential for EBU to give more power to the public's vote, this imo will take a stand back into being just a generic pop rock ballad.
The day you two are moved by an Albanian Eurovision entry is the day i will stop stanning them lol. Some peoples just dont get FiK every year or just have different priorities musically

For me, the song is too all over the place. It feels so disjointed. The last part is ngl the only part I actually listen to. The orchestra definitely did most of the heavy lifting. And imo at the start she just let's the orchestra take the reigns and didn't sing much The rap is out of place, I don't think it'll grow on me at all
