Is it possible to attain God through worship, penance, charity, fire sacrifices etc.? If so, why did Lord Shri Krishna says in Shrimad Bhagwat Geeta that he cannot be attained by all such practices?
Meera was also chanting hymns and worshiping Shri Krishna, then why did she seek the Guru's guidance or shelter?
God can be known neither through spiritual discourses nor through intelligence. He cannot be known by listening to different types of sermons.
If none of these means can help one experience God, then how can He be seen or experienced?
