Nice video, I got some good tips. Although when glazing I always ensure the tape running along the bottom rail is in one length and butt jointed down to, not mitred. I feel having a continuous unbroken barrier running along the entire bottom where water is always running will ensure weathertightness. Whereas with mitres there are joints there in each corner asking for water ingress.
Can you please tell me the model number, thickness, and width plus brand name and part number of the best tape you have discovered for this application. There hundreds of different tapes, sizes, types etc. Thank you much!
great vid bud! i'm doing a geodesic dome by trillium domes right now.. using this product. you have any experience using this with twin wall polycarbonate and wood? thanks!!
Looks great. Is this weather tight with just the tape? Or do you need to add any caulking or glazing putty as well? Also, can you share what type of tape you are using? Is it similar to butyl tape? Thx
My take was this is used to bed the glass but glazing compound would still be needed on the opposite side of the glass. That being said I have never used glazing tape.

I found this very helpful and had no problem not seeing the actual glass. This man shared his time to help people and I don't think any of that is "pointless" myself, but I'm just another viewer.
@@truccka4253 Sorry, I made this video for a particular glazing company and was just winging it. We had no plan to glaze that rejected sash but it was good for a tape demo.
Really like the way you do the corners, it's a quick way to get a precise cut without a gap and with zero fuss!

Quick, informative, and really helpful. That corner-cutting trick I'm really sad I didn't know 20 years ago. Oh well, now I do :) Thanks!

GREAT JOB... THANK YOU FOR MAKING THIS VIDEO. I found it very helpful.
Really like the 45 degree corners, not sure I grasped the upside down getting the tape off bit sufficiently to risk it though
that's neat, the way you miter the corners! I'm searching for the glazing tape.
Try ‘putty tape’

Pointless. Why on Earth would you make a video and not have a piece of glass cut to demonstrate how to install it.
Sorry but no it didn’t “help”.

if you need help showing him pushing glass onto the tape, good luck .
