Thank you Barry. I recall when the Emperor was named head football coach, a knowledgeable football fan I worked with here in New York said the Badgers had just hired a really good coach. I was skeptical because as a long time fan I had seen some apparently excellent hires go down in flames at Camp Randall. BA proved to be just what the program needed. And thanks also to Donna Shalala for supporting the Athletic Department and hiring Pat Richter and to Pat for selecting BA and getting him to come to Madison.

Awesome video! Sad day day for Wisconsin sports. Barry Alverez has retired from Wisconsin as Athletic Director:( He completely turned around the football program 32 years ago and the entire athletic department

I'm not sad at all. BA had to retire at some point and he's going out on his own terms after leaving the program in a very much improved condition. Hope he enjoys many years in Florida and can still show up at Camp Randall on some nice days in the fall to cheer on the Badgers.
