The Mini Pickup is a rare beast and even rarer is one from 1962. Just great to see some original features with the drop down rear number plate, start button on the floor and door opening grab wires, sliding windows. It wouldn't take much to put back to original speck. Will be worth lots of money when restored.
I bought one for £25 ran it for courier work for TNT . Then got later one paid £1000 low mileage like new. Did 180.000 miles in 2 years. I made a lot of money with it. Never let me down.
I had a 1963 mini pick up, my first car. I gave it away to a friend of a friend because he needed a car to get about, that was 30 years ago. One of my biggest mistakes, still miss the old girl, she was mint.
I had a 1967 Mini van when I was 17 (1979). Our neighbour, a farmer, offered me his pick up which he had replaced with a Marina; he wanted £50 for it. As a skint apprentice I said no - too much welding needed!! "Yer live and learn", as my Dad used to tell me.
This is extremely rare. The straight gear selector, 45mph at 12 o clock on an off white background, variable speed fan rheostat and single stalk indicator that has a small bulb inside the green cover at the end. Push button start and main beam to the left of clutch pedal on the floor. Half moon cut out wheel trims are also hard to find ( the very early rectangular cut outs on the 59 and 60 saloons are almost non existent) This is likely to be as rare as a cooper S. Hope to see it at a show in the future
The thing is Austin were using much better quality sheet steel compared to the stuff they started using in the 70,s for pressing the panels. But still a very rare car.
I use to own a 1969 one and thought that was early!! mine was a one owner but someone had deseemed it :( and fitted a sun roof, such a shame as it was rust free and a great little truck....i love this one guys, what an amazing genuine little truck!! R.I.P the old boys wife!!! must be so hard when you lose the person spent most life with xx

The stories it could tell - hope it does really well for the owner.
Should have a completion for someone to change the points on one of them with the fixed grill, great fun !!
Absolute nightmare of a job
A piece of cake , just remove the distributor

The punters are gonna fight over that one.
Loved those pick ups. My mate had one but at 6ft 6in tall, I really struggled to drive it as the cab space is smaller than the saloon.
The first car I had Austin mini 1962 registration 8010 TD what nice memories
Very rare vehicle these days. Lot of potential for someone.

That must be a all wheel drive because it has a transmission in the back. That one is light years nicer than mine when I started.
Classic rust bucket from British Leyland. Fred flinstone, complete with holes for your feet! 😁
Very early Mini pick up in need of a lot of TLC
Will need new sub frame and bits round head lamps.
