2:29 I felt it when he got that head-high. I remember getting my first one after a few seconds of vaping. I vaped continuously for a few months, chasing that first head-high. Eventually, it made me irritable when I didn’t vape-it literally was changing me as a person, little by little. As of now, I haven’t vaped in almost 70 days.
I wish i could get the head high every time i hit the vape, however this eventually stopped, and i currently plan to stop it once my current 3 disposables are done. However he ended up getting addicted to vaping and he’s vaped since like 2016. It sucks a lot actually. I’ve had to watch him be driven away in an ambulance because his blood pressure is so bad. He literally can’t last an hour without vaping. He gets mad at us if he can’t find his vape. There’s so many other things and they affect me too. I don’t think he realizes that. The problem is once you are addicted, the addiction never disappears, it can only be paused with a strong mindset and discipline but once you do it only one time after quitting it’s like the addiction is instantly present again. JUST KEEP IN MIND THAT YOUR BRAIN REMEMBERS THE FUCKING AMAZING SATISFACTION OF SOME GOOD FLAVOURED NICOTINE
IDK, I vaped for 8-9 years all day, everyday and was able to quit fairly easily but maybe that's just me. I don't get any cravings, either. I also weened myself down to lower and lower nic over time.. and only vaped unflavored but the flavoring obviously isn't addicting, that's just a personal choice for healthier/cleaner vaping. Unflavored is literally 3 ingredients. Nic, VG & PG.
To me its not the vaping thats addicting, its purely the nicotine. Since moving to zyns, i havent once wanted to vape, one time i did just for a joke and hated it(gave me a headache and lungs didnt enjoy it either)
@@hhasteYou’re lucky and one of the few. For most people it’s more addictive than heroin. I was lucky I respond to Wellbutrin so well. Quitting cold turkey was just not possible in my case. Caused very suicidal thoughts.
to be fair, you probably had an easier time quitting. most people who start don't intend to get addicted. and when they start, they tend to be running from something that they don't want to confront or are dissatisfied with their life somehow. that's why therapy is offered in rehab centers, if you don't address the root cause, you will never be able to truly move on.
when i went to rehab i told them i wanted to quit vaping too while i was there and they told me it would be too hard bc everyone there vapes and to focus on my other addiction lmaooo
This is honestly a better nicotine addiction educational video than a lot of the early 2000s purely fear-based education. Very much a “don’t try this at home” vibe
You‘re certainly wrong on this one. I don‘t have a accurate percentage but some people just don‘t get „addicted“ and have basically 0 side effects when quitting.
Sharing your vape is a big part of the whole culture around it. Striking up a conversation with a total stranger by asking "hey is that nic?" was pretty normal when I was at university. People who were quitting, people who's vapes ran out, and people who just wanted to try whatever vape I had, it's incredible how social it all is. If you bring a vape somewhere, someone might ask to use it and strike up a conversation, and conversely, if you vape, other people who vape are typically pretty friendly and willing to let you try theirs.
when i was watching this at first i thought you'd have a few million subs due to how professionally this has been done, amazing production and editing, loved it
I have to say though, keeping track of an addiction like you're doing here could be an incredibly helpful tool for others if transferred over to another type of addiction. This alone was an eye-opener and got me thinking about my addictions and how they would look if I had tracked them, such as you are doing here.
This is extremely helpful. Thank you for this. I’ve been vaping since I was 15, it’ll be 6 years this September. I’ve always been able to recognize how bad vaping is but for some reason that hasn’t prevented me from doing it for years. All of these negatives you mention throughout the video has been my reality for so long that I never realized it was something effecting me. I’m not promising to quit with this comment, I hope to be able to respond one day detailing how I kicked it but this video for sure brings the topic to mind front and center
This is so sad… dude. At one point I tried hitting my friends vape maybe 3 times and I remember feeling the starts of the grasps of addiction and I immediately decided to never do it again. It was such a scary feeling. I wish the best for you on your journey to quit.. from people I know who quit have said that the desire for it never goes away even after years of being off of it.
Judging from the comments this video has really blown up apparently it was at 2k views and now it's nearly 600k thats wild. Vaping is crazy im highly addicted to mine but only because the flavours i think because i wouldn't smoke a cigarette if i had to. Great video
Got hooked on vaping last year. It was terrible. It took me months to quit after many failed attempts and my lungs felt like sht. Made me not want to do anything after a hit. 343 days no hit. Thank god. Also once you're addicted to it, it will always be in the back of your mind as with any addiction. So man welcome to this life lol
I actually got into the habit of smoking vapes around a year ago and only recently have i fell out of the habit naturally. Its insane to think that you would willingly try to pick up the habit but i respect the dedication. Great work keep it up !
I started vaping to quit smoking. Worked like a charm. Vaped for like 5 years but got tired of constantly stressing out about needing a hit or panicking if I couldn’t find it or if it ran out of juice in the middle of my day. Decided to quit using the patch. Worked awesome. Three step system, each level lasts 2 weeks. Substituted with a nic-free vape to help the transition and continued with the nic-free vape for a few weeks after the patches were done. Been off nicotine for almost a year and I generally don’t think about it anymore. Occasionally I’ll get the urge after a good meal but it passes after a few seconds.
11:50 Is exactly why I wish more people that were committed to vaping, would get a "box mod" or any type of stand alone rechargeable battery and either a refillable tank with coils, so the only thing being thrown away are the metal and cotton coils. The greatest benefit is the ability to use your owl liquid and *_know_* what's in that liquid ingredient wise, not risking whatever cheap ingredients they give you. And the ability to get unflavored liquid, which has only has 3 ingredients, with the option of lowing your nicotine levels over time all the way down to 0 nic.. The flavoring is where a lot of variables get added, and the most potential for dangerous compounds. You could also get what's called an "RDA" for rebuilding your own coils out of the Kanthal wire. RDA's are a lot more involved and you have to learn Ohm's law, to make sure the coils are within a safe range for the battery, but there is no waste at all from those, other than tossing away the little kanthal coil you wrapped every week or 2. It's also cheaper in the long run.
Not even that, PODs are fine too, what is fucking crazy is that disposable cig contains insane amount of nicotine, usually you would go 3-6mg on box and up to 12mg on pod system, 20mg+ is insane
Very educational!!! I always was grossed out by vaping and smoking, and this is something I always was passionate about. Thank you for sharing your experience and showing the truth of vaping and smoking!!! I will continue to stay away, and share this with my friends! ❤️❤️
First-time video enjoyer-I'm usually pretty good at keeping up my silent observer streak, but you have this distinct aura of Ferris Bueller and I can't shake it the longer I watch the more I feel it , this is more of a confession i fear I couldn't move on without letting it rip
Thanks for mentioning the ridiculousness of these “disposable” lithium ion batteries in the vapes. Like you’re literally not supposed to throw out batteries AT ALL, according to the epa, yet the vapes are marketed directly as “disposable”. Seems like a major lawsuit just waiting when there’s a massive landfill fire from these things
last week was my second time caving after a month off, as much as this video makes me wanna get another i think u do a good job of making it unappealing and noting the many downsides. vaping sucks as good as the momentary satisfaction is. good video
yeah i wanted to cold turkey vaping after using them for 6 years, i kept relapsing so now i just switched to ~15 zyns a day which i dont think is any better but hopefully i can kick these. nicotine is a bitch lol
Well done, I like your perspective. Consider those who were former smokers who started vaping seeking a safer alternative. The additives in cigs can make you way more addicted and vaping has actually helped people quit nicotine all together. For me, I grew up around smokers and have history of addiction in my family. Started smoking cigs occasionally when I was in high school stealing them from my step dad. Even tho my grandpa died of lung cancer from smoking when I was young, I felt predisposed to being addicted to nicotine at an early age. Switching to vaping for me started because my now wife. It’s crazy how much more of your sense of smell comes back, and the smell of cigs on people is so much more noticeable. I’ve been vaping for 6 years or so now and ya I’m still addicted to nicotine but I overall feel better and less gross than I did when I smoked. I agree with you that I really don’t like how much waste is involved in the disposable vape craze, imo it’s far worse than what Juul dealt with. If you’re going to vape, buy a pod system like the Sonder U $16 at my local smoke shop and your own juice. You really don’t know what’s in those disposables, a lot of them don’t even tell you how much nic is in it. Sorry for the rant just my 2 cents. Keep making vids dude!
Read the book Freedom Model, it discusses addiction in general. It's on audible, and I think you can get it for free by just making an account. I also heard Allen Carr's books help, but they didn't work for me.
I’m genetically predisposed to addiction and I swear on everything I was craving my bfs vape after about 2 days. The flavors, the head rush, and the smoke tricks were so enticing and I ended up craving it and crying over it after 2 days with minimal puffs (I have asthma and should NOT vape). Every time I saw it I would just imagine the taste and the feeling and I’d try to hit it every chance I got even to the point I’d get jealous watching him hit it and him telling me I shouldn’t hit it and that I couldn’t have it (asthma). Thankfully the longer I went without it, thanks to him, the less I wanted it (after the first few days).
guys, i tried this challenge with this guy. i watched this exact video every day and hit my vape frequently. i even had to buy extra vapes. the cost hurt my budget and the nicotine hurt my lungs, emotions, and thoughts. nicotine, alcohol, and anything else is not worth it. if your friends do it encourage them to stop. help them stop by cheering them on and telling them it’s possible. whatever your going through if your going through something it will pass. a vape or anything else will not help you, it in fact will make things worse. i strongly recommend you and everyone around you to stop. and if you are having trouble quitting there is a way to stop and there are people who can help. you will win this fight you just have to try your best and trust yourself and others who are helping you.❤️
I decided to quit 2 weeks ago, been slowing down and finally had my first 3 days without any nicotine. Today i caved and bought one more vuse pod to have that "one more" and this video literally came at the perfect time across my feed. As I'm typing this i just threw it away because reading the comments and watching this has made me realize how shitty it actually is for you and your mindset. I've been vaping since my junior year in high school (2015-16) so almost 10 years. If you're reading this 10 days, 10 weeks, 10 months, or even 10 years from now feel free to respond and ask me how its going. Accountability is huge when it comes to quitting anything addictive or changing a habit/lifestyle. In those 3 days that i did stop fully, the 1st was the hardest, the second was actually pretty easy and the third...well the pods in the trash so you know how it went, but if i could have the second day feel forever, i think it wont be as hard as I'm picturing. I do have a Fum which was the reason i started to slow down, and my goal is to use up the 6 cores i have left for that (vape less, smokeless, addiction curver? thing) and have that habit out forever. One thing i did notice is that its not even the nicotine high at this point, i only get that in the morning right when i wake up, its just literally the habit of fidgeting and picking it up that seems to be the worse. Here is to hopefully many years and decades to being nicotine/vape free. The only person that truly thinks you cannot quit is yourself.
@marius9139 it's going great! First few weeks we're the hardest. Since then I've hadn't even had a craving. Energy has been up all around too which is great. And my bank account loves me for this. Although it's only been a month I've seen some significant changes
Cheat code is quitting the same time as your partner/friends, gives alot more motivation and makes the friends that continue feel guilty (which yes they should)
Where I'm at 5% are the only ones sold and for cigarettes the normal ones are 0.9mg and the "light" ones are 0.6mg. It's like they all want us to get addicted, thank got I never got into the habit 😊
When i was peak addicted i was mixing my own liquid to probably the equivalent of 10% and huffing it out of the bigger refillable vapes. Its probably 4x stronger than 5% out of a disposable. Absolutely ridiculous and i cant believe i got to that level honestly

No way your friends are actually heavy vapers if 6000 puffs lasts them a month. Most addicted vapers would do that in roughly 10 days
What I was thinking
I go through 6000 in like 2 weeks in a good week
No cause my non addicted friend finishes a 1000 puff one in a day
I buy the raz 25000's and they last about 10 days. no way 6000 is even lasting over a week for heavy vapers.

If you bring a vape somewhere, someone might ask to use it and strike up a conversation, and conversely, if you vape, other people who vape are typically pretty friendly and willing to let you try theirs.
fr I've made some real great friends I still talk to just from being a fiend in my schools bathroom, who woulda thunk it.
Really? I've always observed that people who vape are cunts. Some of the most unlikable people on the planet.

This needs to go viral. Kids need to see its not just abt fun, it can be hard and painful on you
11:50 Is exactly why I wish more people that were committed to vaping, would get a "box mod" or any type of stand alone rechargeable battery and either a refillable tank with coils, so the only thing being thrown away are the metal and cotton coils.

I also heard Allen Carr's books help, but they didn't work for me.
this vid abt to blow up ur hitting reccomended

The only person that truly thinks you cannot quit is yourself.
hows the quitting going?
@marius9139 it's going great! First few weeks we're the hardest. Since then I've hadn't even had a craving. Energy has been up all around too which is great. And my bank account loves me for this. Although it's only been a month I've seen some significant changes
