Can you even IMAGINE getting away with about 98% of the questions to the Indians? Now matter how innocent those questions were , today’s people would have ripped them up! Oh for the innocence and goodness of the 50’s and 60’s! Maranatha!
+retrorex He was just DISGUSTING. He was rude to Tom Poston, was condescending to the native Americans, and just downright rude with his smoking. He also it was evident a New Yorker, and he sure lived up to their reputation.
Kevin, I think you need to cut down on your daily intake of coffee. Relax-- It's JUST A GAME SHOW, for crying out loud. And +mh K is 100% right-- smoking was totally acceptable back then, in almost all public places, including on television. You can't apply today's standards to shows aired 50 years ago. I don't post these shows for people to get outraged and rant, let alone insult an entire class of people-- New Yorkers, of which I am one originally.
@@mhk3360 And look what it did to way too many of them. Even when warning labels were put on every pack they kept puffing away. Couldn't understand why they had trouble breathing and when some died the families filed suits as against the tobacco companies. Take responsibility for your actions.
Abe Burrows: Boy those Cherokee sure do get around, don't they. Me: Yes. It eas called the Trail of Tears. (I was proud of Tom Poston. Even if he was joking, it was RACIST.)
That was the way it was back then. Not saying it was right, because in no way WAS it right....however, that's what it was then. Thank goodness, things have improved.... not much... but at least some!
There were people who knew better even “back then”. Sickens me, all of it. There were lawsuits against the removal of the Georgia Cherokee. People knew better.
God how you people screech your virtue signalling with that insipid, propaganda word. Just imagine all the kiddies in the sociology class clapping in fatuous unison as you fall into line.

TERRIBLE racist episode. AWFUL. We did not “move”. We were dragged from our home and many of our children, elders and more vulnerable died as they walked on foot under soldier guns on trained upon them as the Army drove them to the scarce country where other tribes were also being dumped. We did not “move” around. There were subsequent Removals and Acts designed to destroy our families and communities. I hated the “indian round” so much I want to puke. And cry.
I never thought I would hear my husband's hometown mentioned on this show. Recife, Brazil.
I would never want to see Abe Burrows again on the panel. Polly, Polly, Polly. Thanks for the video.
Agreed. Super disrespectful, obnoxious and self-inflated.
Polly Beren was gorgeous
Polly is a beautiful dreamer and I love her!
glad you're in the minority on THAT
She runs misognist-serving schtick without take a spare breath. Pitiful garbage.
The Hijack Survivor looks like a very young "Edith Bunker".
This confirms that Faye Emerson was right-handed (her one appearance on "What's My Line?" from 1950 as a solo mystery guest is missing).
Executive Decision The owner of this channel, has one for "What's My Line?".
Back in those days, they didn’t know about cigarette smoking causing cancer.
Yes they did.
@@sbalmanIKR? Will that rumor never die? 🙄
I like Polly, but every time she votes she acts like her life hangs in the balance.

Better times back then with strong willed people with thick skins. Exactly how it should be.
So true.
Abe Burrows, can't you wait till the end of the show before you light up? Good Lord!

what about the other stuff, he was just rude & interruped Poston.

I totally agree! What an ass!! And then Bud at the end says, the good guys will be here next week. It makes me cry.
Such obnoxious comments by Abe Burroughs - even back then - like saying “How.”
Then, adding insult to injury, Bud Collier says “happy wigwams.” 😖
He also said “the good guys” will be on next week when referring to cowboys - I flipped

You're getting a good read on Buddy's !!!!
The casual racism is stunning to watch now. It didn't seem to bother the Indians though.
I thought it was obvious it was #2 in Game 3. He was the only one dressed up in Native American attire.
Poor chimpanzee. How cruel..humans suck..and yeah we went to the moon
Those bloody Russians did it with a dog. 😢
Heh, at Faye's reasoning for her choice in Game 2.
Man #1 in Game #1
Lady #3 in Game #2
Man #2 in Game #3
I like Polly !!!!
What did Faye Emerson DO, anyway?
she was a find Actress
Was Polly joking when she said she was born a Cherokee? Or is it for real?
+Vahan Nisanian
No, but she was born & raised in Knoxville, Tennessee which is right near the Great Smokey Mountains National Park.
Just another remark for remarkable and obsessive need for attention.
Is Abe Burrows supposed to be funny ? Gosh, what a waste of a guest panelist spot.
The racism is strong in this episode.
