COLOSSIANS 3 | BIBLE STUDY WITH ME

Today we're continuing on in our Bible study series through the book of Colossians with Colossians chapter 3! In light of the fact that we have died with Christ to our sin and flesh, and raised with Him to new life, He has called us to a new way of life. Paul is going to break down in this chapter specifically what that new life is - and the new self we are called to put on. Colossians 3 also covers some ways that Jesus' finished work has changed different relationship dynamics in the home structure, and what that means for us as believers. Loved this video especially the part where you gave a biblical definition of love❤️ that was so helpful because in this day and age love means something completely different to how the bible defines it
And i never really thought about the putting on and putting off of the old and new self as a parallel to putting on and taking off clothing
Like that’s so cool to me that we get to make a choice every single day to remain in sin or to glorify God with our actions

My favorite verse from Colossians 3 is 3:2 Think about the things of heaven, not the things of earth. What I get from this is to set my heart and mind on things above! As I think about the events of my past, I have noticed that I changed for the better with my thoughts, attitudes, and actions! For example, I’m seeking more of God’s presence not presents, I’m trusting in God to work within me, and I’m trying to obey God. I have many faults that I’m trying to improve and with God’s words I will achieve my goals, if God wills. I just wanted to tell you that I will be taking a break from RUclips for a month! ❤️
