I supremely disagree on not going back to an old account. I went back to my old account that was from the GAS days and It took 6 months to get from 4 mil to like 6 mil and have profundity and get back to top 5 fleet arena. I'd say anything over a few million I'd go back to, even with 20 leviathans in your fleet shard like I have.
I second this, came back and now 7mil in an amazing guild. Would've been crazy to bin 2 years progress and the fleet shard is very inactive so it's easier to hold and climb. I think it's very situational and depends where your account was at the time. I don't regret picking mine up at all and think starting again would've been a mistake. But like I say it's situational.
I think its mainly about people who got up to like level 80, then quit and came back 2 years later after having unlocked something like fleet arena, but not having the time to build up a good fleet for example.
I agree for people who played for like 2-6 months, but throwing away 2 years+ is insane to me. Even 1 year is a pretty big throwaway unless it was like 1 year with no LSB and back before double gear drops.
I had the same experience. I came back into the game 4 months ago after a year and a half off. Left behind an account with 5* Exec, came back and I can still beat 7* Exes and Profs with good RNG (Exe is 6* now). Levi sucks to fight, but I also managed to rise back. As Songeta mentioned, 1000 people enter a server. But after some years 129 might be the totality of active players in the server that are left.
One mistake is not having a long-term Focus. Not being hyper-focused on it as you open up and expand your roster but not having a clear-cut direction which will change throughout the time
My long term goal was to get all of the Luke Skywalker characters. Today I finished the Ult for JML and other than upgrading my mods and adding a couple relic levels(r9 for jml and r8 for jkl) I have now successfully completed that goal. Now it's time to unlock jar jar and get my raid teams up to snuff. I hate gungans but it is not going to be as painful now that I have my Lukes to covet!
@@shanes6456 long term, yes, but only to the next big project or milestone (e.g. teams for all the AB’s, a GL, etc…). Because new stuff gets released and sometimes chasing the new stuff is better (e.g. characters for a raid) you don’t want to get tunnel vision about planning a year in advance.
i didn't realise how good fleet arena rewards were until i had already spent money; its unfortunate because i came back to the game after 3 years of not playing. my best capital ship is the finalizer and everyone in top 50 has executor, profundity and even the damn LEVIATHON, so right now i'm doubling down on getting GLs and chimera
My hats off to 100% F2P players, I just don’t have the patience. Well not just a lack of patience, to me the game is all about GAC and TW which requires both a wide and tall roster. I don’t blow $ on garbage like 300$ marquee characters but I’ll absolutely buy packs that’ll dramatically speed up farms that are 19.99 or less.
Same deal. I regret waiting until 2023 to start this game, and want to keep playing. Seeing a chance to get KAM for the price of a lunch, or avoid having to farm ROLO and CHOLO for the same is worth it to me, when I feel like i have 100 things to do in game that need to be finished yesterday.
He and Calvin are my Mount Rushmore of swgoh creators. The GOATs! Don't get me wrong Ahnald is great entertainment value, but I get more helpful info from Songbird and Cal-El. Honorary mention to Scrybe as well.
i think i made everyone of those mistakes but i guess thats how you learn. now after every big farm [GL-ship or legendary] i take a break and work on what i have and build up my supplies and reorganize my teams and upgrade them. very helpful for me to not always be chasing the next
I wish so bad that I this had come out right when I started my account 2.5 years ago. I could have used this. Mistakes I made: #1 #4 #7 (I was convinced that all the Jedi and Sith were worth going for in the first month or 2) #8 (It took me forever to pay any attention to them) #9 (I used to ignore mods for the first couple months) Really great video!
I made mistake #10, but it’s worked out fairly well as I took a break shortly after the game started and came back almost 5 years later. My fleet arena shard is pretty dead, only 15 or so actively competing for #1. I recognize it’s an unusual case, though.
Biggest omission from this list has to be evaluating progress in terms of months and years instead of days and weeks. The game is a marathon and every income stream created in game should be multiplied by its yearly returns. It gives a much better perspective on literally every aspect of the game (farms, GLs, assault battles, etc.)
Feel like the only gl maybe worth rushing for is slkr. You get two fo teams without dead weight, ep (who’s never a waste) and vet han who can carry you through smuggler run 1 until you have decent other characters reliced (han/chewie, dash etc.)
The thing w GL leia is I think she’s worth really focusing on of course u shouldn’t focus on her too early but I’m like 5 months in and I realized I need to focus on her not just for speeder raid and a really good squad in general, but in order to get executor I need the razor crest 7 star and it’s hard to rely on fleet store for that so I need galactic legend tokens so I need a GL and she’s the best one for diff events
That’s an odd reason to go for a GL - you should unlock razor crest exclusively in fleet store, it takes a while yeah, but just check all refreshes and you’ll get it way faster than you will a GL
I have that same issue of going back to an account i left for years. Now i will never be able to rank up in fleet arena. I would have restarted if i knew this ages ago but now ive invested too much.
So I had an old account about 2 years ago ,and I opened it up like 1.5 months ago been playing on it for a while I hadn't unlocked fleet in it or mods so my fleet arena shard is actually a newer shard not making me worry about starting a new one but my squad arena has multiple people with gl's but now in my account I have been gifted 2 lsb's and I feel like I can do this however I will be leaving the game for 3 months I hope that doesn't change my situation
I have 4M and a fleet shard I can't compete with. I cannot wrap my mind around starting over and lose all the things I farmed, some of them pretty nice (Starkiller, etc). I could use more convincing in a dedicated video. :]
There's a lot more Nuance than you put in for going back to an old account. The flowchart looks like this Go into Fleet Arena and look at the top players. If it's all Leviathan executor and profundity then Begins the choice if you want to start over or not. For example I quit before Fleet Arena even came out so when I started playing again I was in a brand new Fleet Arena so it didn't make sense for me to start over at all The next question you're going to ask yourself is are you going to put in the effort to get first place every day or at least top 20? If the answer is no it doesn't make sense to start over
Oooh I was doing good until we got to the assault battles😂. Still need to do tier 3 on a few and my inquisition is only able to do the 5* level of their battle. Shame on me..
Can you explain to me why the drop rate from 64 to 65. For a 5 star character and 200 crystal refresh and get Zero. Why does the gamble never payoff? Click to fast? What !!

The funniest thing is, that the old account with 2.5 mil GP was Kyber before you quit it.
Haha yeah, back then Kyber was different! You could get to Kyber from any GP size, just be better than everyone else at that level

You can access the website store on a phone, but not the PC client pack. I keep a tab open on my phone browser to get the web store pack every day

Most likely. See content from Nooch's and others as CG has made the pre level 85 very fast.
