Beautiful work Leon! These old models hold up pretty well after all these years. I love the colors you are using. The Lord on royal pegasus is particularly stunning. Thanks for sharing!!!!
@@leont66wargaming31 mine are still in the Army box 😂 plus 60 unpainted Knights of the Realm (old ones) 3 Green Knights and assorted others my pile of shame 😂
@@leont66wargaming31 That makes sense, I'm doing knights errant in one scheme, my lore is they haven't earned the right to wear their own heraldry yet . They will have the lord's colours
Fantastic work Leon! They look really impressive. Can I ask how you get the dark lining which emphasises the shadows on the faces in particular? It’s very effective. This has certainly turned into a very big project!
Thanks Keith. The flesh tones are actually quite easy. I used Vallejo panzer aces flesh base 341 as the base coat. Then applied a wash over the whole model using Nuln oil mixed with Lahmian medium 60/40 Dark tone and Matt medium would work the same. Then highlighted using the flesh base again Then a final highlight of flesh base and Vallejo panzer aces highlight flesh 342 50/50 mix. I think I’ll end up with around 4000 points. Probably won’t play more than 2K but it’ll give me options to play different styles of army.
Great looking army mate. Seems to me that the old world could be in a bit of a catch 22. As you say, it needs people to buy from gw to keep up the investment, but with the prices in the current environment, it's only going to be possible for some by using 3rd party product.
Thanks Paul. Yes it’s quite typical GW. If you’re going to Lenton or playing in. GW store you’ll be needing the original minis. But otherwise 3D will be the option. As you say it’s a bit catch 22 indeed
I'm so glad i have a printer. Myself. Cost about 10 pounds for the files and 80 cents in resin for my treb. My green knight is from lost kingdoms. He cost about 12 pounds. In any case, your force is coming aling nicely and looks great! Like the diamond pattern you did on the pegusi. Your damsels look great. Where did they come from?

The knights look amazing.
Thanks buddy

@@leont66wargaming31 Not long brought the bretttonian box set myself, I made the silly decision to paint every knight unique...why O why .
@Flamethrower1942 lol
I was tempted to do that myself, decided just to do Grail and Questing knights individually

@Flamethrower1942 ah yes. I like that reasoning
looking good mate, :) thats a lot of cavelry, :)
Thanks Mate.
I’ll end up with 30 knights I think lol.
@@leont66wargaming31 lol i thought you hated painting horses. :)
@GDWargames yes that hasn’t changed lol.

@GDWargames lol. Yep, I didn’t think this through properly
Great looking mini's, what tuff and flower tuffs do you use?
Thanks mate.
I use Tajima tufts. They’re based in the UK. Do a great range and reasonable prices

Definitely have to buy a 3D printer at some point.
The damsels are both highland miniatures I think.
Lovely paintjob on the knights! How have you done the bases on them?
Thanks mate.
I used the same technique as in this video for my Epic miniatures.
