The GD-55 is a MD-380 and is 10 Watts and 5 Watts and is £89.99p (off eBay) and has Radioditidy on the front and is a TYT knock-off. When mine arrives, I shall see if the large 3.8 Amp battery used for my unused Baofeng is a suitable fit. If so, then good to go.

I have a new MD-390 as well. I can't get the radio uploaded or downloaded because it keeps asking for a password, and when I put in the default eight zeroes, it keeps coming back with wrong password. However, eight zeroes on the keypad will let me into the radio itself. Do you have any ideas on how I can get past this password screen?

heres the bottom line me and a few friends have dmr radios simply we want them on a few simplex frequenceys so we baught 3 radios now we are having bother getting the digital side to work there was one time we got one channel to work on the rt3 softwere but could not programme no more than one digital channel at once can any one help or is it a fault in the radios we are useing the rt3 softwere but its for uhf not vhf does this matter ? plz help

The digital simplex channels are called DH2 438.600 and 4 (12.5KHz) channles either side of this frequency.
So program the DH1 as DH1 438.475 then DH2 438.600 then DH3 438.6125 then DH4 438.625 etc.
If you got one working then just add these to your list. There as a few more, however, I was too lazy to type them all in but you get my drift. Good luck...

I have just got the Tytera MD 380 and don't yet have a licence to broadcast but I want to be able to programme new frequencies (70 Sems) which my mates use. and other repeaters If possible without a licence just for listening only. some stuff has been added already but I do not know how to add my own. thanks in advance.

A very helpful video thanks .. iv got an RT3S which iv coded a very basic code plug for my local repeater GB7FI and added 8 TG’s but when try to listen on the repeater I very rarely hear much activity iv set it on TG 1 ww do I need to key the repeater to wake it up ?
