    I participate in a lot of paddle sports "Anything past your Hips is a Waist" ;) My (63 yrs 72 kg) progression 1. Balance/Stroke technique on Race SUP, 2. DWSUPF (long mast) A. Flat Water endurance, B. Flat Water Sprint sets, C. Flat Water Pop Ups, D. Flat Water (Strong Side Shore wind) Pop and Ride (no Waves). Just getting into Waves now :)

    Well explained, although a few folks who really know SUP are cringing , (HAHA) looking forward to seeing how you learn over the months and years ahead, all that said for a downwinding video this is about s good as we have seen. For sure a part of the sport that is exploding right now. Thanks for making and sharing it.

    When I learned to foil I put some electrical tape on the rails of the board indicating where my mast was which helped me with my backfoot placement

    Just FYI. I just visited your website and you have span of foils in cm instead of mm. (For example 985 cm) . 1cm = 10mm. 1”=25.4mm.

    Great advice and very well done! Just starting the DW foil journey. Any advice for those of us that are strong paddlers and sup surfers but have Zero foil experience. What are some ways to get used to the feeling of being up on foil?

      @finbox1000 a great way to get the feel as quickly as possible is to log some time behind a boat or a jetski, starting in the flat water and then hit the waves when you feel ready.

    Thanks, this is helpful I'm about 65kg on a 99 litre 7ft dw , I can sup and surf foil but struggling with the paddle never paddled how your explaining, I will try this . I just have a normal sup Surf paddle, do I really need one of these bigger dw paddles?

      You don’t but it helps if your technique is bad
