The thing I hated (yes, hated) about this particular quest is that you're forced to favor one side over the other. Why do I not have the option to smack Tullius, then smack Ulfric (or vice versa), tell both of them to shut the fuck up, stop squabbling like children, assassinate the thalmor thing, and then force the blades, empire, stormcloaks, and greybeards to focus on the WORLD ENDING DRAGON. and, ya know: have the most powerful squads of each faction following me into the climactic end of world battle in the afterlife realm.
This is why I just join one and win the war. I enjoy the civil war quest line far more than seasons unending. Sometimes I reason which one to join, other times I toss a coin.
@@itstimebombofficial the big fights are weak, but the other ops you pull of is where it shines. You also avoid the blades entirely. No need to have "kill Paarthurnax" staining your quest log.
Your comedy is pure gold! It's refreshing to see a skyrim youtuber create new entertaining content that doesn't feel sammy, much like other elder scrolls/fallout content creators. It would be awesome af to see your chanel get big
This quest is 100%optional. If your chosen side controls 8 of the 9 holdings, seasons unending is automatically skipped since theres nothing left to negotiate a truce with. Doesn't make it any less boring though, could have used a dragon attack or a few assasins. Or maybe thalmor tratorism.
@@itstimebombofficial i've played worse but the entire game is "player is a pawn wearing a dunce cap" its a good game but the script..need a rival or a major boss or something. What annoys me is these ARE in the game. Solhestein? The island? Has someone who could have been a rival. Shows up to steal dragon souls. As for bosses i have a few mods which have returned dragons to being terrifying monsters to fight. As apposed to a joke. As for the civil war it really wasn't fleshed out enough. I don't think theres even any destruction, just a few new orphans and some dead npcs. So as a quest, civil war is not the worst by a long shot(the noisy behzonwhatever stones is. And your reward is more jewels. Which you can already get on the lockpicking tree)
@@itstimebombofficial the worst quest, long agreed by the fans, is 'no stones unturned'. The quest is so hated and pointless there are entire mods for telling you where all the stones are, or just giving them to you. Its hard to top season unending on boring, but i would go with the games intro not being skippable.
I will definitely consider making a video on the stones🤔 but yeah I don't like doing the empires civil war cause screw the empire, and I don't like doing the storm cloaks cause it destroys parts of whiterun, tough choices lol
@@itstimebombofficial whiterun is dying anyway, hence why one of the sidequests is to go and replace (via death or rebirth)the gildegreen tree in the middle. Its basically turning, slowly, into winterhold. Its more a choice of racism and foresight, the nord leaders are highly racist, and are not prepared for a large scale attack, but they do have a culture and identity, while the empire is basically a corporation, not racist and has resources, but is an empty shell of living beings, lacking any identity, and as ulfric and elisif demonstrated, any care over who is actually doing things.
I don't find this quest boring, but it is annoying. I bring Ulfric and Tullius together to talk about how to stop Alduin, and they just want to swap Holds with each other, as if they're still not taking Alduin's threat seriously. Nobody cares about who rules Skyrim, or what the Thalmor are doing, when a Dragon god is devouring the world!
the Blades in Oblivion were so loyal and polite and undying for Martin Septim and his father. So, it makes 0 sense that Delphine would be as intitled as she feels to order around the dragonborn. The only way Delphines attitude and power play personality make sense, is if she had no idea what the Blades truly are or their purpose. She literally explains that though, she realizes she's supposed to be the Dragonborns undying soldier, not vic versa. Delphine is utter trash and Esbern is the exact same. I wish i could jump through the screen and fus ro daa Delphine, Astrid, Esbern, Elywen(and every high elf) off of the winterhold college bridge into a portal to Aprochropha
i have a deep-seated hatred for this quest, mostly for a lot of the reasons you pointed out, but also because the first time that i ever did this quest (on the PS3 edition), it glitched when i sat down and nobody started talking. i sat there for SO LONG, waiting for something to happen. i thought it was some weird dramatic pause. but then it kept going. and going. and i was like, SURELY i did the right thing? yeah it was seriously broken and even reloading back to when i entered the building didnt fix it. i had to reload back to when i talked to ulfric and it worked for some reason. HATE this quest but it always gave me a way to get rid of some of the jarls i didnt like
Great sense of humour man, got a few actual belly laughs out of me. Also the Lorna Shore shirt is appreciated. Frankly this quest just makes a bunch of characters show how annoying they are. We call them to High Hrothgar so we can put a pause on the war before Alduin 2b2t's the universe, and they try to use it to push their own victories. Like excuse me, I'm trying to singlehandedly kill a 40 ton lizard cosplaying as an a10 warthog by screaming at it, so how about yall shut the f*ck up and stop trying to kill each other for like 2 days.
Season Unending is the woooooooorrsst. Hate that quest, hate that they're both such children about the whole thing. Hate Delphine, hate Elenwen, wish everyone would sit down, shut up, and let me do my goddamned job.
It is a great quest and it is easily avoidable so you are wrong on basically everything but I enjoyed the video nonetheless, impressive! Very entertaining. Good job! I subscribed.
The title of this vid should be "Why i personally find this quest boring". I was waiting throughout the entire video to hear you explain why having politics or this quest was poorly written.. instead it was just you roasting npcs because the quest was about something that bored you. At least the jokes were funny and editing was good i'll give you that

They need to make that into a skyrim movie😱😱

Maybe I should give the civil war a fair Shot, I've always just dogged on how the "battles" are always just like a handful of bad guys

No way? Like you can actually destroy the blades too?
@@itstimebombofficial Not destroy per se, but you can ghost them forever if you go war instead of peace council.

Honestly the skyrim civil war does not make any sense THE FUCKING TALMOR is winning ether way

I think it's just different enough to really pick up an audience, and I still got a lot of fight in me to keep working on it!
