    Awesome video! I have the 45w version. It produced 43w and was impressed by the efficiency!

    I wonder how much of an affect the shadow from the grass had on the solar panel. These panels are a great way to maximize run time on a small 500 to 700 watt power bank connected to a 12V fridge/freezer, for a few days. Would be a neat video to see since you already have the panels.

    EcoFlow makes great products, but I do take issue with how much they charge for their panels. They really must think they are premium! I like the 2 wattages they offer and have no issue with not including a USB-C cable as most would already have one for their laptop or phone. The 5521 to XT60i is less common and plugs right into their solar generators... I'd rather have that cable, but both would be nice.

    I can find the 45w variant but want the 60w however, I can’t seem to find it anywhere, can you confirm it has been released and if so where you can purchase from in the uk if possible. Thank you.

    can you use this with a Jackery, I assume you would need a different cable to plug into the Jackery . Also on 12/31/24 Best Buy has this for sale for $56 USD.

    • @TechMadeEzy
      @TechMadeEzy  15 дней назад +1

      There are many jackeries so you just want to make sure it meets the minimum spec because if the speck of the panel is actually too low it won't work

      Hi Luis thanks and welcome to the channel, if you have a battery in your laptop, then I would think it should charge it a little bit but keep in mind. I don’t think it would run it and charge it so if your battery was dead, I don’t think the panel would help at all. Let me know if that helps you.

    I got a shipping notice today for the River 3 Plus with included 45 watt panel. Appears it's a 45W Type-C one.
    Neither Type-C nor DC5521 is ever considered water tight. That is why most panels use MC4, which is water tight.
    If you read the manual on EcoFlow's site, the USB-C port is limited to 5V/3A (15W max) and doesn't support PD. I would've preferred the MC4 version, but they're likely disposing of unpopular stock.
    The 45W rating is likely overly optimistic even under Standard Testing Conditions (STC).

    My river 3 kit with standard 45w can only get 20w so far is that normal for new units?

    • @TechMadeEzy
      @TechMadeEzy  Месяц назад +1

      In the right conditions with really good son and the angle of the panel being adjusted you should be able to probably get about 30 maybe a little bit more

      @@TechMadeEzy Thanks, I tried closer to midday sun and was able to hit 30-32 watts and yes the angle did make a difference quickly. This was done in Houston, TX area. Thanks for doing the video!

      @@MyGuyKirby Most test I have seen on youtube show panels are no where close to rated output once connected to device. I have a 110 watt panel and will probably still parallel the cable with a XT60 Y connector the the 45watt panel. This will probably get me closer to the max input power in real conditions. MPPT built in all these all in one devices will never be as awesome as say a VICTRON Smart controller MPPT. Those track so fast and make loads more power than other stand alone MPPT controllers even. I tell ya if VICTRON made a all in one it would probably be one the best on the market just for their MPPT amazing.. I have several in 3 in use at my home and WOW what a difference they make.

    Missing a kick stand....sad...I got the 45W free with the purchase of the river 3. Is there an extension for the dd5521 to XT60i? Is so, what is it called? The sad news is the river 3 does not USB C charge.

      If it can be charged by USB type, C, xt60 or mc4 and the solar specs meet the need of that unit then sure. But check and make sure the solar specs match
