One of my favorite flights to do with passengers. Just last week, on the 4th, Midway was even kind enough to let us do a touch-n-go on our way by so we could see even more of the city. Thanks for sharing!
Awesome videos- thanks for sharing. I'm currently a C-172 owner and saving for a Sling Tsi build- your channel is motivation! Have you ever checked to see if JetShades could make window films for you? All the Cirrus guys I know swear by those things. Thanks again!
I know the Cirrus guys seem to love JetShades, but a friend of mine just got them for his Bonanza and he thinks they're garbage. Personally, I like moveable shades rather than covering entire windows. I put them right where the sun is, then the rest of the window retains unrestricted visibility. I especially like nothing on my windows for night flights.
@@OneAlphaMike Jetshades are so pricey for what they are that I could never pull the trigger. I just ordered a Hamilton portable air conditioner- looks very well built and has good reviews. I'm getting too old to fly in the Texas summers without something so gonna give it a shot. Haha. Will give you a pirep once I've used it.
@@OneAlphaMike Wow- Thanks for the tip! I'm gonna give that a try- soooo much cheaper and looks like a solid product...and it's made in Texas. :) Will report back.
Since it's a turbo, it does better up higher. If I fly in the high teens, I can get 155 - 160 knots TAS at "ECO" power settings, burning 7.6 - 8gph. If I'm in a hurry, I can set MCP power, true out at 165 - 170 knots and burn 10.5 - 11gph.
New to this channel really enjoyed flight with family.

Yeah, nice flight! What is your fastest Cruise speed?

@@OneAlphaMikeNICE!!!
Does that bump up against VNE? Is that 155 KIAS?
@@azcoyote007 No. Vne is in KIAS. The numbers above are KTAS.
@@OneAlphaMike Let me rephrase. How many knots indicated when you are trued at 165-170?
