    Today we're going to talk about the word "allora." This is a word that Italian native speakers use all the time, but it still confuses students a lot. However, this is the kind of word that, if you know how to use it, will make you instantly feel and sound like an authentic Italian person. So today, I'll show you all the ways you can use "allora" in Italian, with lots of examples, as always, so that you can really master it. Make sure to watch until the end because I'm saving the most interesting and probably most common usage for last. This will help you review everything you learn today.

    Once again another clear presentation of the use of a rather common word in Italian and as always with a sparkle in your eyes and a charming smile on your face. Thank you for helping us understand the actual use of Italian in real life while simultaneously pointing out the correct approach and rationale behind such a use.

    Grazie, Valentina😊. I often find "allora" confusing because it sounds a bit like "ahora" (now) in Spanish, which I speak as a second language, but it seems to function more like the word "entonces".
    Devo insegnare al mio cervello a smettere di confondere le parole 😂.
    Un abbraccio! 🤗

      Buongiorno Mariam! My videos on RUclips don't follow a specific order, but you can find all the videos I've uploaded so far here: www.youtube.com/@ItalianTeacherValentina/videos
      If you want a more organized structure, please check out my "Italian 101" online program, which follows the same curriculum I use with my tutoring students. It covers listening, vocabulary, pronunciation and grammar, and includes video lessons and interactive exercises, and it's especially designed for beginners and total beginners: www.valentinastellatutor.com/how-to-enroll-in-the-italian-course-101/

    or "Therefore".

  • @robertparham5055
    @robertparham5055 Месяц назад

    In the sentence you wrote, "da allora non sono piu tornati in Italia", i don't understand where "they" is said, as in "they didn't return". I was expecting to see "loro".

    • @ItalianTeacherValentina
      @ItalianTeacherValentina  Месяц назад +1

      In Italian we usually drop the subject pronoun (eg. io, tu,...loro) as we don't really need it to understand the sentence, since the information of the subject is contained in the conjugation of the verb, which changes for each subject pronoun. I talk more in depth about this concept in this other video, please check it out: ruclips.net/video/Y7LrlV3gUWg/видео.html

    Hi Valentina. First of all thank you for creating useful content, it’s very helpful. I just wish you do not speak English and even the explanation be in Italian with English subtitle.

    • @ItalianTeacherValentina
      @ItalianTeacherValentina  Месяц назад +1

      Buongiorno Nazgh! Thanks for your feedback. I want this channel to be beginner friendly, so that's my main reason for using English, but I do try to incorporate many examples so students can also absorb the language. Also, do you know that I have a dedicated playlist with videos in Italian only? It's called "Italian Listening Practice", you might enjoy it 😉: ruclips.net/p/PLaeKp_sNLJVzAE7fuGlmoxi2dugE-dYod&si=0I0Nrs9NAezpF7mf
