You picked the best choice, because you can just buy the heroes with gold but starlight stars is better because you can exchange it once enough in the starlight exchange store for a star skin or other rewards.
If you think about it, you can get a starlight skin every 10 months, since you can exchange the fragments at magic chess shop. Well, not really because there's a monthly limit

Gotta say, hanabi isn't good at all, even with full built no dmg. I'm myhtic 3 rn and I kept getting hanabi users on my team and they are a source of chocolate. 5 matches with hanabi on my team and all defeat. Not once a win with hanabi.
