DURATION: 1 HOUR
How Michael Sheen inspired his home town to create the most ambitious piece of theatre that Wales has ever seen.
This documentary follows Sheen and the hundreds of people from all over Port Talbot who took part in a very modern retelling of the story of the crucifixion Easter 2011. Sheen's commitment is 1000 per cent and we see how the project becomes increasingly terrifying as he realises that what he has undertaken is so much more than a play. As we watch the show coming together, we also get an intimate portrait of a town. The carpenters who built the cross, the disabled girl who inspired a dance and the old timers from a terraced street cut in half by the M4, are all part of a community that astonishes itself and us with its desire to find a voice through this extraordinary play. Includes rock bands, bell ringers, choirs, a junior string band and teenage fire jugglers.

Here because I am a new fan of Michael Sheen, very interesting actor and it's clear how much love and pride he feels toward his home town and country
Imagine getting to act with Michael Sheen.
I hadn't seen or even heard about this before today, and I am stuck for words. What an incredible undertaking, what a community, what an incredible man.
Cant believe it is 10 years since The Passion. Wonderful actor Michael Sheen. I followed it for the weekend but couldnt cope with the cruxification scene had to go home. Di Botcher brilliant as his mother
I'd heard about the play from interviews and I always pictured this huge thing but seeing it like this. but what I pictured is nothing compared to this... this is INSANE. such a large community-wide experience, pulling from the community itself. it's gorgeously done. I'm not particularly religious but the story is wonderful and the actual... the community coming together to do this and the emotion... I have no words. amazing achievement

A Passion without a Resurrection.
I believe that there was a resurection at the end of the crucifixion and the body was retrieved the stranger was unveiled as the teacher (Michael Sheen)
@@kennethtucker9844 it was community..
He was the mysterious stranger who appeared at the end after the body disappeared and was replaced by flowers, who said 'it is over' and then said 'it has begun'. That is the resurrection.
It's all gone now
He was born in Newport get it right but raised in Port Talbot
I remember when they put that motorway and destroyed the town centre...
What alternative did they have ? I remember travelling from Swansea to Cardiff, every day, before the advent of the M4. Port Talbot was a nightmare with the railway crossing the main road in Town. We would have to wait for the trains to arrive, and often that would mean a 30 - 40 minute wait. The elevated road was the only solution to the traffic chaos.
