I started smoking it when I was young, like 14 I believe. Let me tell you dude.. I fucking LOVED it. It wasn't even "the cool thing" back then, this was right before it became sort of "mainstream" and was still criminalized in most states. Weed made me feel like, I was just completely beside myself with happiness. No anxiety. Enjoyed regular day to day things more. Wanted to go outside and do stuff more.
I was a full-blown pothead by the time I was like 20, though. Without it, I had the opposite effect(feeling shit, bored, etc) and the "happy effects" of weed had weened quite a bit. By the time I was 21, it was just another habit. You still get high, but you're like used to feeling that way and kind of boring. Well, I stopped smoking(not by choice) for about a year. When I went back to smoking, I would get OVERWHELMING anxiety. I smoked on and off for a few more years, but now bc of the anxiety I don't smoke anymore. I just enjoy myself more without it. Have more energy, am more productive, etc.
So yeah, it's not just a novelty thing, nor did I ever think I was "cool" for smoking like all these "got that Cali Kush broo 420 blaze it brooooo" faggots.
same thing kind of happened to me i watched at like 11 and then stopped for a while then at like 15 i smoked stronger nugs and multiple dabs a day and it gave me so much anxiety attacks and just nauseous and made me really depressed
Hearing them talking about the whole shooting thing way before it happened is kinda eerie
