In addition to the gym I've been doing the garage gym thing for 7 years now. So covid didn't affect me.
I just received that Rep ab5000 zero gap bench and I gotta say it's something else. They went full on 100% on this bench with no compromise or short cuts. I've also have the ironmaster super bench. I feel the zero gap bench far exceeds it. It is a commercial bench period! It's heavy!
you are going to love rep fitness man. i got their garage package and a flat bench. should have got the adjustable but im super happy with them and you will love them.

Great vid. I’m starting to love REP as well. I have ordered several things from them and they are good quality and fast shipping. My rogue orders tend to get stuck in their system and not ship out for a very long time...have orders from beg of august with them that haven’t gotten “picked” yet 😩
Like the videos and I agree with your choices. I was trying so hard to get a AB-5000 but it hasn’t been in stock and the date keeps getting pushed back so I went with a bench from rogue.

Do you like having your own space or do you like being around people (even though you workout at 4am) Do you like staying home or do you like having a place to go and get out of the house Do you think a home gym is worth the time convenience or do you think going to a gym isn’t an inconvenience Do you think a home gym offers enough or do you think going to a gym offers more Do you think in the long run you’re saving money with a home gym or do you think going to a gym is a fair deal
What are your plans for the summer and winter months Are you going to heat the area or would you be warm enough My basement where I workout is freezing in the winter so I’m not looking forward to that but it’s all good
With the pandemic I have used my basement as my home gym I already had a bench setup with a total of 50 pounds in plates and 10 and 15 pound dumbbells I did add to my mini home gym I don’t think right now going back to the gym is worth the stress I’m definitely grateful for what I have I really miss going to the gym though It got me out of the house But I also think I may be saving a little money I had 2 gym memberships My bootcamp gym was $100 a month but 20 miles away so I paid a lot in gas going everyday I also went to Planet Fitness which was $20 a month and 2 miles away I do like having my basement gym so I can go down there whenever I want

I love my REP zero gap, along with the FB-5000 wide pad. Had to go with Rogue for barbells. Fringe bumpers and Titan X3 rack for great quality for price. Bowflex dumbbells to save on space and money.

Unless you want it color coded just go with Titan Fitness on the dumbbell rack. It's a dumbbell rack, save the 40 plus shipping IMO.
I bought the Rep racks and dumbbells from 45 - 75 lbs to augment a set I already had. The look and feel of the dumbbells is great. The racks are great. However, I had a pecular issue with my dumbbells. They seemed to off gas a bit (which created a rubber-like smell), and they left oily stains wherever they rested whether on the rack or on the floor. It was so bad that I ended up calling Rep. They didn't know what the issue could be and almost seemed to struggle to believe it was happened. I ended up washing and scrubbing each dumbbell with soap and water. It helped a bit but didn't solve the problem. Now a year plus later the issue is over. It's almost as if the material for the weights hadn't fully cured when I received them. I hated that aspect of them, but now that they don't leave an oily stain everywhere they go, I like them a lot.

The third garage/home gym is a life goal some day. Maybe you covered it and I missed it but is it fully heated/insulated or is that not a concern in Raleigh?

Well, I am never going to have a home gym as live in apartment!! Still enjoyed. Wheatens are the best. Mine passed away six years ago, so really enjoy when Alfie in videos.
Great video man. I just wanted to give my opinion on one thing. I disagreed with you about adjustable dumbbells i have 3 pairs and i dont have to buy all the ones you bought. One of my dumbells goes to 100 lbs on each hand. And it is a cheaper opinion to get the adjustable dumbbells then those.

Everything for Rep is good except their double sided iron plates that are garage. Coop posted my video of them on Instagram. Luckily I was able to flip them immediately after I got them and ordered Rogues

Haha I bet it! I’ve notified they typically release everything between 4-7 pm EST so I stay glued to my phone during those times. It was supper annoying but worth it now!

How is the maintenance on the REP dumbell knurled handles? Do you see more rust than usual on the handles, is the maintenance a pain?

Yep my stuffs all Rogue sold my ivanko plates just so everything was Rogue, got bumpers instead & iron Rogue plates for my lat machine. Those Rep dumbbells have different handles to Rogue, the colour looks off to

I’m 5’7 180lbs not a super wide guy but this bench is wider than the cheap one Im used to right now so I was just concerned and wanted to get your input on how the bench feels with benching and fly’s and chest movements. Don’t want to get something that’ll be restricting. Thanks!!

curious why you didnt get adjustable dumbells since you have no space?
He said he doesn’t like them. I actually prefer them for some weird reason. PowerBlock and Ironmaster specifically.

Yup
The REP stainless steel power bar is supposed to be pretty sweet. Also, powerlifters train incline bench...accessories are a thing. And people who care more about the brand of their equipment than anything else are likely buying gym equipment to look like they train, instead of actually training. That’s why people who really love lifting will lift (see quarantine workouts with pvc pipe and rice bags)...no fancy stuff needed.

I'm moving to a new house in March and I'm going with REP over Rouge is because well I'm moving to Colorado and I can pick up my equipment Locally, save a few 100$ on shipping and REP does active duty Mil pricing and 1st responder unlike Rouge.

Rogue fitness is expensive so I understand why you chose another brand. I just bought a damn t shirt from Rogue and it was 25 bucks. I feel so dumb. But it’s a good shirt.

Don't be afraid to buy some Titan stuff here and there. I'd guess you're probably talking about the safety squat bar but could be the lat pulldown? Their quality is fine just look for reviews before buying because they make so many different items and some of it is absolute junk. My entire gym was Titan pre pandemic. Sold it all when the gyms closed and upgraded to REP, got lucky the same day you didn't.

Too bad Rep has poor supply chains. I just bought a Rogue Rack, even though I wanted to buy the Rep PR4000. They never have it in stock so I paid way more and got the Rogue RML 690.
Yeah that's one thing about rep. They can't meet demand.
Rep fitness is good if only their items were in stock. I was only able to get rogue items in stock. My vote goes to rogue plus made in usa. Titan fitness dumbells rack are better in price free shipping.

Rep is not as well run as Rogue. I wanted to be all Rep desperately but they are never in stock and it is so hard to order from them, so I was forced to go all Rogue. Having better value is meaningless if you don't have the supply chain management to match demand. Rogue has backorder (they will take my order even if there is a 1-2 month delay), more in stock more frequently. Best ability is availability.

I totally would have done opposite, 2 car for gym, 1 car for garage. I think you totally made a mistake selling dumbbells and making bigger jumps between weight.
