This is an amazing amp. I have a Carr hand wired tube amp and was able to dial in the BluGuitar Amp1 to sound exactly like the Carr. I was blown away when that happened. Its a real amp no digital fizz here!
It’s great to see a touring musician design an amp. Lots of little touches that add up to a great product. I’m surprised this amp doesn’t get more coverage.
I think this really is the best amp invention for guitarists since years, i have played one (i played all the classic desired amp's the last 35 years) And i am going for this as soon as i can.
Ordered one today, the amount of adjustability seems second to none, the tones are amazing, sure you put much thought an effort into this product,an all outhers in your line, also ordered a nanocab 60W 1x12,will be using alot in a 18 wheeler, rock an roll then repeat
I live in Canada and the AMP 1 is the best amp I have ever owned. And the Number 1 Shirts are also available in North America as well. I own both the long sleeve and the short sleeve. They are a high quality thick cotton.
Wow! Between this and something like a Mooer Preamp Live (or better yet the soon to be released GE300), I could sell all of my gear and just keep one 4X12 cab and I'd have pretty much every tone in the world in a small corner space in my house. All this new technology is blowing my mind.
The 2x12 Speaker is really great, so much better than the simulation line out, I think. I play the amp1 at home and in our practicing room of our Rockband. I also tested it at a small Open Air Gig, was OK. On regular gigs I still use my Marshall JMV410H, maybe the new Mercury edition comes close to it? The amp1 is really great, however the "steam" of the Marshall is possibly unreachable? Best wishes, Uwe.
This is a wonderful design and i really enjoyed playing it... one thing i would love to see on mayby a future version is a Vox ac30 style amp channel :)
@@napalmhardcore what happened was one of the guys in the shop set the ac15 to where he liked it and Thomas matched it just like in the Hennings videos,,i have the settings he used somewhere
I use mine through an 8 ohm speaker cabinet, the recording out works great on its own but you can also use FRFR. This looks like a pedal but is a legit 100 watt amp .
Wish this was made in a small rack unit. These days, no reason we can't have racks the size of a large shoebox. I still don't get that. The vast majority of working musicians play, if not most of the time, then at least SOME of the time at a bar/frat/wedding - some gig where people in a packed crowd get rowdy and dance on stage (or try to) and stomp on your shit or spill a beer on it or both. I've had a high gain lead patch turned on by drunk people when you most definitely do NOT want a high gain lead patch. You need a foot controller built like a tank and beer/vodka-proof and no worries - maybe some good box out technique or whip out some fancy martial arts action and kick people out of the way while changing patches. lol. Most pedals and pedal boards are built to survive heavy stompin' but a headrush/helix floor/ax8 in that situation? "I'm Phil Wankerson for action news on scene live at Schidty's in mid-town where several people were bashed in the head by a guitarist tonight at this very club less than an hour ago". Screw that. A quarter of a beer and those fancy screens are zzzzzzt (or in this case, ice cold beer on sizzling hot tube). Make a rack version pleeeeeeeeese.

Bob Boitt what were the settings?
One of the best guitar products I've ever bought, it's an amazing bit of kit.

the thing is that with the fine tuning knobs on the side you solve the problem on a single eq for every channel, kinda... it's a great idea
That sound at the start of the Video is one of best i have ever Heard . Fender tone form haven
Please release this soon... I've been waiting so long 😭😭🤘

Great to see Thomas design an amp. Not surprisingly Mercury Edition sounds amazing. Finally a light weight, analogue and hi quality guitar amp.

Just a note the Celestion Creamback Neo is a killer lightweight speaker to try with this!

The mercury edition sounds better. JVM410h has 1 sound with 4 channels and 12 gain stages.
I love my Amp1 Mercury....
05:01 I'm feeling sorry for bands who have a Hammond B3 player with the matching Leslie amp, 170 Kg for the B3 and 80 for the Leslie.
haha, true.

agreed but the other night Thomas matched the tone of an annirversary handwired ac15 £3000 job sounded spot on
@@billrand4138 Is there a video of that?
@@napalmhardcore no it was just at a live talk at a guitar shop
@@billrand4138 That's a shame. I would have liked to see that.

Are you going to play that thing or whisle Dixie?
This best in an FRFR speaker or an amp ?
If amp what amp

this is a guitar amp head meant to be used with a cabinet , an frfr is to be used with an amp modeling unit which this is not.
Does it 'remember' EQ/settings of each channel during switching?
no the channels are voiced to sound good through out

just put it in a rack-drawer...
I get one, no doubt 😁
I love all those amps but im poor
total dead upon arrival don't wast your $
Bummer. sucks so bad when you're drooling over some gear and can't wait till it's on your doorstep and it doesn't work when you hook it up. Sorry dude
