One of my most adored voices ❤
A very brief and beautiful moment in time that will never come again. But Bobby left a beautiful legacy of music for future generations to discover.
How the hell did he keep pitch on "hunger ." It wasn't human. Good Lord.
"You've Lost That Lovin Feeling"--- "Soul And Inspiration"... Greatest Male Duo Of All Time... PERIOD
Yeah but I really also like The Everly Brothers
@@michaelbeckwith6177 And The Gibb Brothers Bee Gees. Great harmonies
The guy in the middle is Andy Williams. He started the Osmonds and sang the theme to the movie, the godfather!
You are the first reactor that was so respectful and kind to this performance.
Just adoring the music, hearing Bobby sing so beautifully.
Thank you for your reaction.
☮️💙💙💙🔥🔥🔥
Jmboy...that wasn't falsetto Bobby was singing... he's a counter tenor (higher range than a tenor can sing). I believe he can sing in 4 1/2 octaves... maybe more!! He does it so easy... blows my mind. Love the tone of his voice too and his runs. His voice is just beautiful and everything seems to come so easy to him! Loved your reaction Jmboy!
Not falsetto; that's Bobby's actual range. He was a truly wonderful singer that was underappreciated.
Great reaction!
Thanks, JM! Bobby Hatfield was extraordinary - no screaming or straining.. just hittin' those notes with a smile.... (also, I heard he was nervous b/c his MOM was in the audience... surely she was proud!)
I love BOBBY HATFIELD. AMAZING TALENT. ❤
Love this!!
Top shelf stuff
Beautiful, soulful, talented Bobby Hatfield doing what he does best. This version was even better than the studio cut which charted twice. Thank you for your sincere reaction. RIP Bobby Hatfield you and your talent are truly missed.
No one sings this song like Bobby ,they try ,they fail !Bravo BOBBY HATFIELD!👏👏👏👏👏
Still gives me CHILLS!!!!
Just goes to show music + THAT PURE TALENT is timeless + crosses ALL boundaries, creed, colour and EVERYTHING ELSE!!!!! TRUE LOVE in a song..... performed to PURE PERFECTION IMHO 😍🔥 😍!! GREAT reaction!! 👍
The term "blue eyed soul" was invented for the RB, I think.
Georgie Woods, a Philadelphia radio disc jockey, first created the term in 1964 to introduce The Righteous Brothers, to let the audiences on the rhythm 'n' blues station know that they were white. 🎵
JUST ONE THING TO KNOW BOBBY WAS VERY SICK WITH COLD AND FEVER... THERE BOTH GREAT.. HATS OFF TO BOBBY DOING THIS WHEN HE NOT FEELING GOOD. PULLED IT OFF BEUTIFUL. BLESS THEM❤
Called Blue Eyed Soul. Great voices and a good rabbit hole to go down and explore.
Tom Jones.
"Never Going To Fall In Love Again."
They sang rhythm 'n' blues and rock 'n' roll before Phil Spector and their hit ballads. There are wonderful performances of them on the great Shindig television show, available on RUclips. "My Prayer" and "I Need Your Loving Everyday" are of many favorites. 🎶
This is real music! Love your reactions!! 🔥👵🏼☮️💜
The Righteous Brothers were my first concert in the mid 60s. Have loved them ever since. Blue eyed soul at its best.
Love your reaction and the blue hoodie!
Head voice, not falsetto. Pretty amazing.
Bobby Hatfield had been battling a terrible head cold and you can really hear it in this cute interview with both of them. Bobby knocks it out of the park as he sings in front of his mom and dad who were in the audience.
You didnt mention how comfortably he reached those high notes, going higher and higher without any effort, without stretching his neck, just as cool and calm as anything .
Thank you for a great reaction sir.
Love your facial expressions they show the joy your feeling listening to great music...
Thanks for not droning on about your channel for 5 minutes before you get to the song.😊
Love the way you respectfully analyze the songs entirely. You don't not interrupt, you help us interpret. Have you heard, "Someone to lay beside me " by Linda Ronstadt? Great music and singing.❤
Great video Bro!
Robert Lee Hatfield (August 10, 1940 - November 5, 2003) Bobby Hatfield, who had a higher counter tenor voice to Bill Medley’s, William Thomas Medley (born September 19, 1940) baritone, sang lead on this track. It was his idea to record it, since Medley and Hatfield were each allowed to choose a song to sing as a solo vocalist on their albums. As Medley tells it, Hatfield knew the song well, and was a big fan of the Roy Hamilton and Al Hibbler versions of the song. In 2003, Hatfield died of a heart attack at age 63.
*The Righteous Brothers version was a huge hit, but it was recorded with far more modest expectations. Phil Spector considered it album filler and released it as a B-side. The single had "Unchained Melody," with no producer credit on the label, as the flip to Gerry Goffin and Carole King's "Hung on You," but many DJs preferred "Unchained Melody" and played that one instead. This infuriated Spector, who subsequently left no doubt as to which side of a Philles single was the A-side.
* The famous climax of this song where Bobby Hatfield sings the high "I need your love" line wasn't how the song was written. In an interview with Bill Medley, he explained that Hatfield did two takes of the song, then left. He would often reconsider his performance and come back later to change it, and that's what he did on this track, returning to ask Medley if he could make an edit. This was no easy task, since with a maximum of four tracks to work with, you had to record over part of the original take, but Medley accommodated and Hatfield delivered that soaring vocal line. Said Medley: "I punched that in and he left. He said, 'No, I can do it better.' And I said, 'No, you can't.' [Laughs] And I think it's a big part of that song."
* This was released on Philles Records, Phil Spector's label. Spector, known for his "Wall Of Sound" technique, did not produce this - Bill Medley did. In a 2007 statement to the Forgotten Hits newsletter, Medley said: "You have to remember that I was producing our stuff before Phil Spector... I mean I produced 'Little Latin Lupe Lu,' 'My Babe' and all that stuff. Then when we went with Phil, Phil asked me if I would produce the albums because it was too time consuming for him to produce the entire albums. So he was going to do the singles and I would do the album. And so that's how that happened and that's how I produced 'Unchained Melody,' which Phil Spector apparently now takes credit for. He can have the credit. And I'm not a producer. I know how to produce. But it's obviously not a Spector production. 'Unchained Melody' was never intended to be the single... it was produced to be on the album. It was put on the B side of a Phil Spector single 'Hung On You' and the minute it was released 'Unchained Melody' just went through the roof."
Bobby’s the best!
Thank you for presenting this information to people. 🎶
Sweet beautiful music from the souls of the artists. Music was pure and smooth to hear for enjoyment.
“The Righteous Brothers” are considered by most to be the Greatest Male Vocal Duo Of All Time. I agree. Between Bill Medley’s Lows and Bobby Hatfield’s Highs they can hit every note on a piano. No other male singers can do that. Legendary.
“You’ve Lost That Lovin’ Feelin’’ was the most played song on radio in the 20th Century
"Unchained Melody" - Bobby Hatfield Live 1965 Andy Williams Show (with his mother sitting right behind him) Considered by most as The Greatest Live Male Vocal Performance In History... I agree. Bobby’s use of “Runs” is masterful. He created the style and set the table that all others have fed off of for decades. 7 notes just to say the word “I” is melodic brilliance.
Their name came from doing a show near a marine base in So Calif and a black marine said to them…. You two guys are Righteous Brothers.
In 1983, in Newport Beach O.C. Calif. Bill and Bobby at the Jolly Roger Restaurant . I was 13 feet away for... "Unchained Melody"- "You've Lost That Lovin Feeling" - "Soul And Inspiration".... They were perfect, awesome, amazing, incredible......
זה מדהים❤❤❤❤אהבתי את התגובה שלך🤘🤘🤘🫶🫶🫶
That man has a four octave range.
Bobby Hatfield had a big vocal range, this was without falsetto. He was both a tenor and a counter tenor. Look at his neck, their was no straining or big veins popping on his neck as he hit those notes. Bill Medley had a very deep baritone voice, they blended well together, with their very different voices. This song was very popular with the soldiers at war, and their girls stuck at home. The feelings were so relevant to so many of them. Try you've lostthat loving Feeling, or You'll never Walk Alone.
I recently reacted to that one, check it out! AMAZING DUO!! | You've Lost That Loving Feeling - Righteous Brothers (Reaction)

Bobby singing Summertime is even more insane vocals, especially the live version ❤️
The comment that has become synonymous with this is that it is a master class in performance Ahhh.. wait for it. That extra note he adds at the end.
Bobby's mother was sitting behind him. She started crying.
I've listened to this song since it came out. I'm a musician also. I've played this song probably close to 600 times in my life. Every time he hits that high note on 'I NEED your love' I always shed a few tears, it is so powerful.. The first 30 times it would also make the hair on my arms stand straight out. The power of music is truly astounding
Boy does that bring back memories that the music we listened to
Wonderful singer, great duo! Try You Lost That Loving Feeling!
He had a cold that night!
There are reaction videos with over 50 people reacting to this incredible performance. The ladies all fall in love.
this song became a hit again when it was featured in the movie Ghost.
He was not singing falsetto he had a huge octave range.
I’ll just echo what everybody else has said. Listen to “You’ve Lost That Lovin’ Feelin’” and “(You’re My) Soul and Inspiration.”
These guys were a little before my time, same as you, JM. But a lovely song and a beautiful voice is timeless, don’t you agree. 💖✨💖
Our family watched the Andy Williams show every week.
Was 16 when this hit came out. Now 75. Old lol
Now you need to hear "You've Lost That Loving Feeling". Both brothers sing on that one
He did not sing with a falsetto, he was considered a Counter Tenor.
In those days you could tell the bad singers from the good and the good from the great. Bobby was a Great singer, no auto tune just a voice.
Bobby sang counter tenor there… he didn’t need falsetto. His range was B2 to Eb6. His partner Bill Medley is a bass-baritone and the combination of those two voices is amazing. Here’s Bill… ruclips.net/video/16rnqBZURIc/видео.html they had 22 songs on the Billboard Hot 100 so there are plenty to choose from. The most famous, ‘You’ve Lost That Lovin’ feeling” was the most played song of the 20th century and is listed in the Library of Congress. ruclips.net/video/uOnYY9Mw2Fg/видео.html
Bobby sings holding back his top skills EXCEPT in his solo song, "Summertime" Bobby goes all out just crazy check him out!!
Yes.... I have another suggestion that you will want to watch.....Procol Harum - "A Whiter Shade of Pale", live in Denmark 2006. You will stand and applaud.
Was that really Bobbie Hatfield singing or an angel sent to serenade us!
His mom was in the audience watching him perform. He was amazing. ❤❤❤❤
BANG.... OUT OF THE PARK. I told you this vocal performance is ONE OF A KIND.
Incredible duo. Amazing song, I refer to it as the Ghost song as it was an important part of that great movie.
Please please listen to summertime by Bobby Hatfield. Its insane 😎😎😎😋
Check out YOU’VE LOST THAT LOVING FEELING by the Righteous Brothers (live). Black & white video from December 1964.
H3 is a counter tenor. He has t bigger range. Its not falsetto. He hits those notes clean!
For the past month my new morning routine I call… “Mornings With JMBOY”. I pack my pipe, turn on the 75” HD-400 Watts and watch what song JM has reacted to. It is always a pleasure and he often does songs I recommended. I really enjoy my new routine .JM is a very cool guy, always smiling and gives intelligent reviews of the songs he listens to. I want to say Thanks JM. I’m sure I’ll see you again tomorrow. Have a Successful Day
Please listen to Righteous Brothers Bobby Hatfield singing Summertime. Definitely worth your Reaction!! Thank you. 😊
If you'd listen to you Lost that Loving feeling that has both of them
Don’t know if you have ever heard of the A cappella group Home Free but they have a WONDERFUL edition of this!!! Check it out!!
This song was on the movie Ghost with Whoopie Goldberg and Patrick Swazey
That last note is E5 and that to me is an opera note his crystal clear register
Try the song " Rock N Roll Heaven from the 70's they did. Or their songs they did in the mid to early 60's of which some have been featured in hit movies like Ghost and Top Gun.
It's too sad that the one singing passed away so young. They had much more music to put out for a new generation.
Bobby Hatfield left his life at 63 in 2003. They had been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame earlier that year, and the Righteous Brothers had a career that spanned 41 years. 🎶✨
Live, no auto-tune! Nuff said!!!!
Movie “ Ghost “ with Patrick Swayze !
And Bobby had a heavy cold in that performance. Isn't he wonderful?! I have been listening to him for 58 years. Another fantastic singer is Australian John Farnham, known as, 'The Voice'. He has a big vocal range, including hitting the high notes, and has been in the music business for six decades. John Farnham has many video clips on You Tube but please choose a LIVE video where he shines. I'm sure you'll enjoy his amazing talent, too.
Absolutely fanf*ckintastic!!!!!! 💗
I can’t understand why they were inducted to the Hall of fame so late 😢
I love this! Please check out some more Righteous Brothers! ☮️💖😎
Hyatt Canyon
This was during the time when you had to be a good singer because what they heard is what they got since there was no auto-tune or any other gimmicks of that sort back then.
OK JM.... Leave a comment saying this is the greatest vocal performance you have ever heard.

Don`t play annoying music when you talk. It ruins your comments.
