I think I might have the same thing I wasn’t at I cast but Monday I woke up and drove 8 hours to fish Kentucky lake for a few days. Sore throat started Monday and has kept getting worse Wednesday migraines started and then the last few days the cough has been super rough. The sore throat and not being able to swallow anything is so painful. Also tested negative for everything Covid, flu, and strep.
This vehicle is to good to let my opinions not to be voiced. I have been catching bass from the bank before you were born Mr. Castledine. Been doing so WITHOUT a 100,000 dollar bass boat, or staring at a 2000 dollar depthfinder. What wise acre people like you don't realize is that these things might be fun to own, what they basically are doing is taking your self reliance away from future fishermen. And that used to be a very valuable thing!
The only reason I started watching fishing on RUclips is because I got COVID in August of 2023, which turned into long COVID. I've had to rest an insane amount for almost a year to recover. I was totally health before that and it's only been in the last few weeks that I've had a somewhat reasonable amount of energy. I pushed myself hard my whole life. I can tell you that getting 3-4 hours of sleep a night for work is not worth it. Take care of your body. It's telling you something.
💯 Covid, I had the same strain and it was miserable. Did not eat for 4 days, throat like needles and glass. 103 fever, chills and once I ate everything taste weird. Also bloody nose. Paxlovid fixed me up in a week. I saw another angler came down with it there. Happens every year since the virus came to us.
I tested positive for covid this morning. Stuffy nose, headaches, not much appetite, everything tastes a little funny, some cold chills, and just overall feel off. Nowhere near as miserable as the first time I had it, thankfully.
You could probably handle that kind of stuff if it was just you and a couple people. But being around 10,000 people and running full speed ahead and burning the candle from both ends and the middle, is probably a bit much for us as we start getting up a little higher in the middle ages there bud. We can do the things we did in the teenage and 20s years. But you gatta start planning a little differently, just a little bit more each year as you get into and through your 30s and venture into your 40s
Todd, you ain't getting any younger. Get a physical every year. Trust me man, you need to have labs done every year. I started in my early forties and I'm 59 now. Always have one annually.

I got sick on the last day of shot show a few years ago and now a week before any big event I start taking vitamin c and iron and elderberry!

It wasnt covid didn't have the chills, and that other stuff. Forgot what he called it but it definitely wasnt that.
Azbassman same exact symptoms I had including bloody nose two weeks ago. Paxlovid also fixed me right up in about 5 days
