I have been playing a week and I just took LvL 16 solo. I was shocked. If you can drop him fast enough he doesn't sink and regen his health. No pillars, no reinforcements. I use bombards with a cutter LvL 13. You did it the hard way, super awesome. As soon as he starts doing pirate voodoo I'm out, I don't fully understand the whole fight.
