Right aortic arch and diverticulum of Kommerell

This aberrant left subclavian artery arises from a large diverticulum of Kommerell.
Diverticulum of Kommerell, named for German radiologist Burkhard Kommerell, is the ectatic or aneurysmal origin of an aberrant subclavian artery. The diverticulum can compress the esophagus or trachea with difficulty swallowing or stridor respectively.
