Some nice shots! Especially that one at 5:55. I got this same lens for $70 cad looking for something longer for cheap and I used it quite a bit. Good thing you shot B&W because the CAs are really pronounced on my copy (on digital they can be edited out mostly, but so much it's hard to get it all). It's too bad it also gets quite soft the furthur from 100mm you go. I read somewere that this lens being one of the first long zooms the quality isn't up to the usual FD standard. I got some nice shots with it and I would recommend if you really want that reach for as cheap as you can get. I haven't tried it on my F1 yet but eventually will. I upgraded to the FD 200mm f2.8 and 2X teleconverter when I need the reach and the quality is night and day, the f4 version is also pretty good I hear.

Canon is a legendary technique, I have 80-200mm 2.8L, it's a lens from the 80s, but the picture and build quality is better than modern lenses.

Some nice frames. Well done. Subscribed.
Here's some inspiration on long lenses and street photography (aka long lenses are creepy FUD):
    Rene Burri
    Saul Leiter
Both shot with longer focal lengths regularly.
Some things to try (you did some of it).
    * Perspective compression (far away subject, large crop magnification), "punching in"
    * Panning moving subjects works really well with focal lengths around 100mm on 35mm format

Is there a big difference between yours and the “L” version? Thank you

Don't think the other old Canon FD or nFD 80-300mm 4.5 is still wort it... in color. Maybe only in B&W.
Some might like the Vario-Elmar-R 105-280 mm f/4,2.

Canon company used to make 2 TYPES of 100/300 MM F5.6 Lens for canon cameras and the one you got is the NONE L version which if you had would give you EVEN BETTER PHOTOS

Are the photos just better in general? In your opinion, is it worth paying more for the L version? Thanks man
