Great video, but most importantly, just tech-ey enough without losing someone like me who's new. Very good info. Only other info I need is more focus info, doing birding. So I'm hoping to look thru your videos to find something. Thanks!
Thank you so much for this and I've added a thumbs up. However I got lost around 10 mins and can't get the clarifying basic info on Internet either: what's the range of aperture on this camera (with the original/default lens): Min = ? and Max = 1.4? I think when you're talking of apertures, you're working with a 50mm lens which is not the original lens sold on this camera but longer, so that's confusing to me; and then you mention apertures of 1:1.14 and then 1.4 - some have colons (:) and others just a dot. What kind of size is 1:1.4 - does it mean 1 divided by 1.4 ? Therefore smaller than 1.4?... I'm so lost! I work indoors with flash and need both front & background very sharp - no blurred background; I'm not much the wiser now after watching the video I'm afraid...
@@gigicaron414 the camera doesn’t have a max aperture - the max aperture is very much dependant on the lens 👍👍 the lens I use in this video is f1.4 so has a wide opening of 1.4
@@KaiCreative Thanks for your very prompt reply! My lens (the original that came with the camera) reads "F4.5-6.3" - so that would mean max is f4? And min is f6.3? (That sounds huge compared with yours, meaning small apertures only, therefore little light...) And then it says 45mm, but also 49 mm...so that's confusing too.
@@gigicaron414 yes! You are correct - you have a zoom lens - so the widest aperture it opens to is 4.5 - which again you are correct - it doesn’t allow much light in when compared to my prime lens 1.4 - this is ok 👌 just shoot in brighter conditions or use lights - the focal length should be 18-45mm. To get background blur you can use the zoom feature of your lens by zooming in at 45mm then moving around your subject with the aperture wide open at f4.5
I’ve got the R100 and brought a Canon EF-S 18-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS USM Nano Zoom Lens - should the Auto focus button work? Or is it because we’ve got an adapter for it that it doesn’t seem to work? - please help 🙏🏻 Thanks
@@KaiCreative sir I wanna buy a cam but totally confused, could you please help me . I have so many doubts Lumix g7 or r100 or 200d mark ii or z30 Nikon or Sony zv e10 or canon 1500d For which cam i should go for I need both photography and videography
@@Poh-yingprobably you have your camera right now. but if not, if you're vlogging, the one with a flip screen is highly recommended. you can still vlog with the non flip screen camera but it would be difficult, still possible but need some quirky adjustments like purchasing external lcd. I'm using the r100 for photography and for some short videos(not vlog).
@@Poh-yingsony a6100 for both video and photography. If you dont mind the non touch and fixed screen R100 is also a good camera. And Lumix G100 is better than G7. I dont think z30 is worth for the money the image quality is not as good as the lumix, canon or sony.
Start with a 50mm - then go for a mid range zoom 👍🙏 also Canon announced they will now allow third parties to make lenses for the RF system - so stay tuned to see what cheaper lenses will be released 🙏🙏🙏
That's got to be the clearest explanation of the exposure triangle I've ever watched. Awesome video mate, cheers. Subbed
Just bought an r100 a few days ago, It’s my first camera and this has helped me so much. ❤
I absolutely love to hear these types of comments 🤩 really happy it helped 🫶
Can we use a macro lens with this camera

Amazing to hear this feedback 🤩🤩🤩
What is the recording time on this camera ?

I like this camera but hope it had a touchscreen and a flip up screen
Buy R50 same cam just touchscreen and flip out screen and DIG!C X Processor
Great video!!
Hope it helps :)
Does r100 shoot portrait video ? I mean background blurry video for vlogging
Yes this is also very dependant on the lens you use - you need a wide aperture as described in this video 🙏
